If you are reading this and your getting ready to buy this phone but aren't sure because of all the bad reviews people give it. don't listen to them most of it is ridiculous about bluetooth and what not the phone is awesome it has great features and the thing with the battery life, just make sure that you don't play with the phone right away let it charge completely and hey just in case buy a car charger. I'm the type of kid that is constantly playing with their cell pone and texing 24/7. but yet i still have full battery life at the end of the day.

if you close the phone while your sending a TeX message it automatically puts it under drafts don't get me wrong it still sends (minor thing though)

I decided to buy this phone because it has a speakerphone option, which makes it easy to avoid having to put it up to my ear to talk. It also has a low SARS rating, so if I do, the radiation emitted is limited. There still is controversy regarding this issue of radiation, but I think a common sense approach is to expose yourself, and especially your brain, to as little radiation as possible.
Other reasons to like this phone are its slim design, and ease of use.
I've used Samsungs ever since 2000, and am very happy with the brand.

We bought this phone when it first came out and cost an arm and a leg (around $250.00). Never had a problem with it. Reception was great, pictures were the best from a cam phone, we've seen and the video quality was great too.

Loved the sliding action of the phone, very cool!

The hubby eve had that case that, I don't know if if was a magnetic thing or what, but when he opened the case, the phone made a lil beep or something.

Well, I love that phone and with all the new technology coming out, I'd buy that phone again, except its not compatible with the "Fave 5".

The phone has really good looks. A nice black slider with a large screen. However, the earpiece volume just didn't go high enough for my liking. Calls came in very soft and I could barely hear anyone in my car which isn't that loud like a concert or anything. It is a camera phone and supports bluetooth, but I just didn't think the phone is all that exciting.

Large Screen, good pictures, but bought used phone which does not hold charge too long so will need to buy new battery. Phone is good.

I like that this phone is compact, has a web browser, camera and is easy to use. What I dont like about the phone is that the numbers are to close together and a case is hard to use for this phone you have to actually take it out of the case. Overall this phone is great and I really enjoy it.

This is a very good phone. I like it way better than my RAZR. I'm not into really hi-tech phones. I just like fun and easy to use phones, and this one is both. If your looking to buy a RAZR, this is a good option. Plus this phone can be unlocked so easily. The design looks more sophisticated and elegant than the RAZR.

I actually bought this phone so i can keep in contact with my brother. The call quality is great, the speaker phone option is awesome as well. My brother loves music and for someone who isn't very computer literate, he's finding it very easy to add songs to his mp3 lists. He just needs a higher capacity micro sd card now. The only thing I didn't like is that the oem software won't let you create customizable ring tones. Other than that this is a great little slider phone for a great price w/o contract.

TEXTING IS KINDA HARD W/ KEYPAD BEING SO SMALL BUT OVERALL HAPPY WITH IT. PICTURES ARE GOOD QUALITY.

but i have a problem with breaking them and this phone def. breaks really easy...
umm i had it for 3 days and it wasin my back pocket and the screen broke ...then i got a new one i had it for less than two weeks and the screen cracked...It still worked but the screen was cracked....

After two phones i got the razor and just today i was looking through an old door and even though it breaks really easily im buying another one hahha.

I DECIDED TO BUY IT AS A SPARE PHONE FOR MY TMOBILE ACCOUNT. I DAMAGED MY PREVIOUS PHONE THAT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND HAD TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE THROUGH THE PHONE COMPANY SO I DECIDED TO BUY ONE FROM E BAY AS A SPARE IN CASE THAT WERE TO EVER HAPPEN AGAIN. THE PHONE WORKS, BUT IT'S A LIL' TOO WORN FOR WHAT I PAID AND THE SLIDE FEATURE IS MUCH TO RIGID (NOT SMOOTH AT ALL).

The camera takes vivid pictures even though it's only 1.3megapixels. The speakers are excellent for both talking and listening to music. Lots of internal storage plus you have the additional feature of adding a micro SD chip. The display is very clear also. The only thing I hate about it is trying to plug in the charger, it's like treading a needle.

I bought the item used, but described as 100% functional w/ light scratches. This is a slider phone that doesn't slide back in place, unable to hear the other person, there is a very visible scratch on the face, unable to receive incoming call.

This was a replacement for my son's broken phone. When T*Mobile said this phone was discontinued he was really bummed, he loved this phone. They offered him a razor, a perfectly fine phone, which he hated. For his birthday I decided to surprise him with his old favorite, the Samsung SGH T809, he was thrilled! Even used, he thought it was better than his new razor.

The phone is absolutely outstanding. The only flaw I found throughout my usage is the dust behind the screen. I spoke to Samsung after hours of being on hold and was told that this is actually normal and they would not exchange it. Good luck! Great phone otherwise.

The product that I purchased Works well. The Seller did'nt ship all the contents that were shown. After contacting the seller we came to an agreement which he never fully completed. But I feel that I got a great deal on the product and it works great. My complaint stops there.

i love my new phone, it works really well. the delivery took a bit long but it's ok. i get reception almost everywhere, and the pictures taken with it come out very clear.

i have been using this phone over a year. i got it from T-mobile and it is unlocked now. It works like New.
Pros :
1.Good Reception , no signal issues, or call drops.
2.stylish,always modern
3.Bluetooth, MP3 ringtones, Music Player.
4.Bright screen.( clear wallapers)

Cons :
1. key pressing sometimes irritating. You sometimes miss the keys and slide your fingers to the other key since the keypad is smooth.

Didn't find any other fault in this phone yet.

Overall , this is wonderful phone. i am proud of having it.

I liked this phone very much, when it comes to functionality, battery life, LOUD SPEAKER, huge display, better than average camera during the day...

However, there a def a few large dislikes about this phone... 1. LCD screen is nice and large, BUT cracks and breaks VERY EASY!! Within 2 weeks of buying this phone the screen broke while in my pocket... 2. My second phone (as it was replaced under warrenty) got a little wet in a rainstorm, while in my pocket, and the keypad stopped working right...

I would recommend this phone, BUT ONLY if you leave it in your house, on your dresser, and didnt use it often.. I dont abuse phones, or even overuse them.. I had never broken a cellphone before this one, and this model broke 2 times within 1 Year!!! If you have a history of broken phones, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!

I've had this phone since it came out, and recently "upgraded" to the next model (after I dropped my original t809 into the ocean).

I am now trying to buy another one of the t809. Everything about it is awesome, including the normal fonts, the personalization features, mp3, and the swivel camera. The "upgrade" has that crappy robot font, annoying tones, and blah.

A+++++ on this phone. It will keep me buying samsung for life, that's for sure.
