Samsung SGH T629 (T-Mobile)

in addition to all the fancy features mentioned in other reviews, I like this phone because it is the most reliable phone I've ever used.

first of all, i live in an area with weak signal, so i've always had to stand next to the window for good reception. but with this phone, i can walk anywhere in the house and still gets good signals.

second, i've used this phone for about 3 weeks now, not a single dropped call yet.

thirdly, i've already dropped my phone 3 times unto either tile or wood floors while talking, it still works great.

All the other features are awesome also, and it's so slim that it fits in the same pocket as my wallet. I couldn't be any happier.

The sent me the phone fast, however forgot to delete everything off the phone. The description of the phone is exactly what they said. The pictures showed every scratch and detail on the phone.

Item different of what i was expected for. I don`t want to lose my money by sending it back. The seller is a bad dealer.

PRO: I liked the phone very much that I purchased. Its exactly what they told me in the ad.

CONS: The charger was broken, and the phone froze on me twice in the 24H period that I was using it. I sent it back, because they said I can return it if it doesn't work properly. They said that they didn't receive the phone, wouldn't return my emails. And told me to file a dispute on paypal because I gave them a negative comment. So I did file a dispute, but now they are not replying to the dispute when I asked for the address so I find out from the post office, if they actually received from the phone. Avoid all this hassle, and find a better dealer.

Used cell phone that was bought to replace one that was stolen. No fancy bells and whistles. It seemed to be in OK shape.

This is a great little phone with a lot of punch. The sound quality is above average! The only draw back is while sending text messages you sometimes have to press the send button more than once to get the message to take. Other than that no complaints so far!

Its a great phone, it was locked so i needed to call TMOBILE to have them unlock it, but that was fine. . . it was a good buy!

I bought this phone after having the T809 (excellent phone). I was a little bit disappointed with the camera quality. It's supposed to be the same as the T809, but it definately was NOT!

I didn't like that when its charging, it lights up and does not turn off unless, you take it off the charger. Not a good thing if you charge it in the same room you sleep in.

Also, it was not as durable as the T809. I dropped it once and it fell off its hinges and broke :(

I did like that you could use it as an MP3 player with an external memory card, just like the T809.

phone looks nice , good for my 12 yr old. But the reception is really bad. He gets between 1-2 bars where my other phones are getting 3-5 bars. I will most likely get another phone for him and have this one as a backup phone in case one of my boys loose or break there cell phone.

I don't know a lot about this particular cell phone since it is for T-Mobile and I got it for someone else. It seems to be a very popular slider phone that also accepts a trans-flash (mini SD) card to store music. The newer slider phones are no better than this one and Samsung stands behind its phones, so I believe this was a great phone at a reasonable price.

This is a very user freindly slider cell phone. The less complicated the better. Great pictures and blue tooth that is easy to activate. Would recommend this phone anytime.

I bought this phone because I want one that reach some features I want, but at a reasonable cost. This phone meets that: has great camera, bluetooth, it is slider, which adds style to it. I still thought it could be a little bit cheaper, but I feel confortable with what I paid, because, as the description said, its brand new, so I trust ebay in that.

i wanted a phone tha was small and i wouln`t accidently dial phone numbers.i really don`t like the flid-phones ana wanted something tha had more function than just a basic phone.i absoluty love the sliter fature of thi phone.

The phone continuously requires that it be put on speaker phone because the ear piece will not work. Not at all pleased with the functionality.

I obtained this phone as a freebie from my carrier, liking it the best out of the options available to me at the time, and I was far from disappointed in it. It got excellent reception, even in areas where people around me had next to nothing, the call quality was very good, and I rarely dropped calls. The slide design was well done, save for the lack of available screen protectors for this phone model, which did tend to lead to a constantly dirty display and a paranoia of scratching the screen. Not the most rugged phone on the planet, my LCD did crack fairly easily and my phone's now in need of replacing. Other than that, no real complaints. Battery life is comparable to most similar phones, and it did charge very rapidly from the wall charger.

I got this phone because T-Mobile was giving it away with a 2 year contract extension. On the + side it's a very easy to use basic phone and you learn its menu quickly. However, I can see why T Mobile is giving it away. The reception is simply awful (inexistent). I live in a weak signal area and have never had so many dropped calls. I have to stand outdoors in order to place or receive calls as the phone will not work indoors. Additionally, when you live in a noisy environment, there is no way you can hear this phone ring even with the ringer on the loudest setting. Prior to this phone I was using a Siemens CF62T which is a much better and more reliable phone. I am going back to it.

the t629 slider phone in my oppinon is the best made phone in a long time. the military should make this phone manditory. i dropped the phone 30 times. feel it in a pool of water. kicked, stepped on it. survived evrything. the phone is TOUGH. affordable with great feature design. plus bluetooth tat lets u see files that a person has on there phone. music, graphics and u can copy it crazy! a must buy!.

My son wanted this phone. It was a cool slider phone and that is why he wanted it. It has a lot of extras on it he can put music on it.

I sported my Samsung sgh t629 for only a few weeks due to personal preference. :)
Overall, it has a very nice look and feel to it. Samsung really made this look quite high end, and i've turned a few heads while simply checking the time.
The large color screen is bright and crisp, displaying beautifully vivid color and imaging. On the sides of the phone are several external buttons, allowing you to adjust volume, silence the phone or take pictures easily. Although i missed dual screens, i loved the setup of the camera. With it positioned near the top, there was no worries of accidentally covering the lense. In addition, if the desire was to take a personal profile pic, there is a small mirror positioned next to the lens to help aim. The slider opens quite smoothly, tho at times it doesn't open completely, this is only a few milimeters but enough to notice. The interior buttons are smooth and similar to that of the Motorola Rzr, but slightly easier to push without looking. Although they are quite smooth and level. I was quite pleased with the firmware this mobile is running. It is smooth to navigate, with many options I've not even accessed yet. The included programs are more than adequate. The best of which being the MP3 player, which allows you to create playlists and listen while screen effects keep the lcd alive. I was not pleased with the calendar function, it became very tedious and there was a lot of backtracking when trying to input meetings and reminders. Also the video record and playback funtion is sub par. Although this is a new system, it still has quite blocky video when there is movement, and even lags on sound at times, the only positive is that it catches light. The built in camera is enough for taking basic pictures for the web, but nothing noteworthy or print friendly. Overall i give this phone 4 stars. The appeal is mostly visual, but are looks really everything?

Phone works pretty good, has a lot of great features: bluetooth, memory card (miniSD), voice recognition, speakerphone, mp3 player. The speaker is pretty decent also. Talking quality was also flawless from what I noticed. Also, there are yahoo messenger, msn messenger, and aol messenger applications installed on the phone so you don't have to at a computer. All in all, its a pretty great phone.

This phone is great. It is nice and slender, easy to put in your pocket(or bra)...it looks hot hot hot!!! Plus it has great features that work great. You can download videos and music and enjoy!!! It holds alot of memory even without a memory card, but if that is not enough for you, the phone has a memory card slot that you can use to put your memory card in & get more memory. I would definitely recommend this phone for anybody...Its simple yet stylish and sophisticated...

I've had this phone for about a year now. I LOVE the fact that it's a slider. And the mini sd slot is great for trasporting music, video, and pics back and forth from my laptop to my phone and vise versa. I liked it so much I ordered one for my mom. The camera isn't the best, but what do you want for a 1.3 megapixel. Aside from that, I love it!!!
