This phone is not the best phone. It does not get the best reception, nor does it have the best battery life. This is not the best phone. This is my FAVORITE phone. It's got a blue backlight which lights the room, you can change the color of the service blinking LED, or turn it off. you can set a few call groups (or individuals) to blink different colors when they ring. It has a nice, clear beep-y ring. No ringtones here, folks... though if you've got time, you can program in a melody. I prefer the sound to the lousy speakers in most phones. People can hear me clearly, though sometimes they can hear background noise too clearly. It has no speakerphone - but I can turn up the volume and set it on my desk and talk to it and hear it just fine. It gets good reception, battery life is fine, t9 text system works pretty well, and the phone book's okay.

Things you should not expect: Color. Picture messages. Ability to save a large cache of received text messages (eventually, you have to start deleting them to receive more.) A super-huge phonebook without starting to use your SIM card instead of the phone memory (I have no idea how many numbers you can fit between the two, but I think it's a lot.) Ringtones of any sort (though the ring selection I find quite pleasing.) This phone is old-fashioned, in many ways. And like many older devices, sometimes I'm a lot happier with how it performs than newer ones. It's cheap, especially cheap on Ebay, and works great.

The item works well and everything, and i recieved it in a timely manner, the problem was that he sent a car phone charger rather than a house charger luckily i had one lying around that worked.

i bought the phone to replace my exiting phone the phone was very nice and was exactly as described. the phone did not work with the sim card that i already have, i did not know that cingular has different frequencies, i re-sold the phone on ebay. the auction did not have a check cell phone coverage in it, i think that every cell phone being sold on ebay should have to have one, so you can check if the phone will work with your sim card and in your area.

If you can read the seller's mind then buy items from him, other wise buy form someone else. Seller stated on the advertisement that the phone was hardly used and is in mint condition. But it had lots of scrathces on it, the change light didn't work and it looks like it was used very roughly.

There was a beautiful picture, so i bought it. My mistake: no charger, looks too old, bad batory.....
Next time i must read more carefully what i buy....

The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
