This is the phone to get!

I decided to purchase a new phone only because I ruined the one I had. I figured I would try to buy a nice one, not just a cheap one. I went to look at the phones available at the Cingular store not knowing what I wanted. I liked this phone at first because it slides open, and even makes a little noise when it does. I also liked how the buttons are all flat and streamlined, just like the phone. I wanted one with a camera, and with this phone, you can zoom in. There are all kinds of camera features like custom frames, making it lighter or darker before you shoot, and things like putting a negative or sepia or black and white effect (and many more). You can also take videos, which last about 25-30 seconds. Also, I liked the menu navigation at first--the graphic display is really colorful, and you can make shortcuts to your four favorite things on the phone. The best thing about the phone, though, was the MP3 player. You can transfer MP3s from your own music collection and the sound is pretty good. The thing is, you have to buy a micro SD card (about $25 for 256MB) to store a lot of music or graphics. Also, you need a card reader to connect to your computer (about $25-30). You have to make sure that the files are MP3s, or you have to convert them using a program called Switch or any other program you can download for free from the Internet. I have about 50 songs, and there's still some room left for more. I did have to get the accessories, such as dual earphones (for listening to music) and the car charger on Ebay, as the Cingular store and Best Buy and Circuit City don't even carry them yet because the phone is so new. I am waiting for those to arrive, but they were pretty inexpensive. The only thing I don't like is that you have to download ringtones from Cingular, and they cost $2.50 each for just a 14 second ringtone, not even the whole song. I wish there was a way to use my own songs and make them a ringtone. Also, sometimes I get lost in the menu trying to find where the music went that was downloaded, because there are so many different labeled folders, like My Music, Downloaded Music, etc.
Another great thing is the battery. I only have to charge the phone about once every 4 days, and even then, it has 2 bars out of 3. And I've been listening to music a lot.
I don't know anything about the game features, texting, or emailing, as I don't use them. Everything else is great. I recommend this phone, although it is kind of expensive.
