There is a lot of buzz going around at my Cingular store about the Samsung A707. Almost everybody that has used the phone has found it to be a very good phone. Personally I also think it is a very good phone. I have played around with this phone and used it for a couple of weeks. It has great features and it is super fast while surfing the net or viewing emails. This is samsungs first high-end 3G phone for the US and it is a good one. I first thought the touch sensetive buttons would be too sensitive and would activate the music player while in my pocket but it is not like that. They have made an excellent phone. The 2MP camera takes very good pictures which can actually be printed out and will look pretty darn good. The QVGA display make photo viewing on your phone an experience.

WOW! What else can I really say? This phone is what Cingular's new 3G entries are going to be measured against for a long time.
PROS
+ The QVGA screen on this phone is enormous. It is crystal clear and very, very sharp.
+ 2MP Camera. The camera is smokin' hot, the only better I've seen is the w810i.
+ UMTS/HSDPA. This phone is fast! Couple 3G with mini opera, and you got the web at your beckon call.
+ Form Factor. The phone is rather large, yes. However, it isn't "big for no reason" like the CU500. The phone is perfectly proportionate to the screen, and the buttons are big and perfect.
+ Cingular Music. I setup XM Radio mobile and MobiRadio and they both work flawlessly. If you have XM Radio, you need XM Radio Mobile!
+ External Music Controls. The touch sensitive controls on the outside of the phone work very well, and aren't too sensitive like the Chocolate.
+ Sound Quality. The call quality is very good. Weather using the ear piece, speaker phone or BT, you always get the same superior sound.
+ The Ringer. The phone is loud and clear so you never have a problem hearing it. When the volume is maxed out, it doesn't sound distorted.
+ Reception. Believe it or not, reception on this Samsung is actually really good. No problems yet.
The only Con
- The CON about this phone is the mp3 player function. If you want to add media directly from your memory card into an organized play list, it can be a little annoying. I have my songs separated by album on my memory card. When you want to make an album as your play list, you have to pick out your songs from your entire library that's on your memory card! Needless to say, it takes forever.
Overall, I would strongly recommend this phone to any one. Period 5/5.

samsung a707Fantastic phone! I have 2 of these, and recently bought one for my niece. We both have had razrs that didn't hold up. I work hard, and my cell phone is always in my pocket, so it takes a lot of abuse. The razrs never lasted more than 9 months, but the a707 has been going strong for over a year now and still works fine! Plus, it has stereo sound for mp3s, and you can watch whole movies on it, too! (It beats the on board movie when you fly!) I LOVE this phone!Oh, and the best thing is you can pick them up on ebay pretty cheap when you want to.

The reason I bought this phone from eBay is because it is so much cheaper then going to the AT&T store and also it is just like the phone that I had. The reason I needed to get a new phone was that the charging port got damaged when the wrong charger was used on it. They cannot fix it and so I needed to get a new one. Samsung is a very good, reliable phone and my next phone will be the same one. It has all the features that I need on it and the screen is bigger to see out of.

Phone quit working, Dropped Calls, Couldn't hear other person talking. Answer tones were garbled. This Particular phone was junk! Previous A707 worked fine with no problems at all. Just got a lemon.

Had the phone 2 weeks when the front screen went bad. Had to send it to Samsung to be repaired but they denied repair. They said phone was physically abused.
They're crazy. I babied this phone the entire time I had it. Poor reception, dropped calls also. No help from seller. Avoid this phone.

This phone is horrible... The battery life is absolutely horrible..I had to charge it 2 to 3 times a day, and the car charger would never stay plugged into the phone,.Its a very simple and easy to use phone, but like i said,,, the battery life is horrible.. does not stay charged for more than a couple of hours at a time.

eBay for Samsung "SYNC" SGH-A707In my opinion this is the best phone on the market for AT&T. Some people would probably disagree and say the iPhone is better. But honestly, this phone does everything you really need out of a phone with amazing controls and great the only downside on the phone itself is its lack of an internal flash, which is pretty much makes up for with software light enhancements. This is the best phone I've ever owned, hands down. The only major problem is AT&T no longer makes this phone, and thus you can not buy it from their stores anymore. Happy buying.

I liked that it looks new. I don't like that the screen sometimes doesnt work when I open the phone, or that when I am texting somebody or going through my calender on the phone the screen goes berserk and I can't read anything or go back or anything. I have to turn the phone off and then back on to make it work again. It is frustrating at times. Advice- be careful when buying refurbished items...

Product was dead on arrival. Returned it for exchange. Here it is 2 weeks later and now he will not even respond. Last I heard from him was over a week ago when he said that I should be recieving it within the next 2-6 days.

Received the phone. Looked to be in excellent condition. Seemed to operate fine, but found that the voice did not come thru. The seller replaced the phone with another in less than 1 week. The replacement looked like it had never been touched. Still had the plastic on it.

This phone was in perfect condition. Brand new i purchased it to save money from going to the store. It also included the memory card which made it an added plus. Phone was as if i purchased from the store. Would do business again.

I chose this model because I have the same phone, liked the features and am familiar with it. Things I like about it are the MP3 player and the flip feature to protect the screen. Things I don't like about it are the MP3 navigation functions (no fast forward or rewind, just skip back or forward), no voice dialing, the battery sometimes goes dead suddenly.
