I love this phone it is the best i have ever had in my life. one thing i can say bad about this is the battery. The battery life not to great but it comes with an extra extended battery in which u will have to carry with you all the time for back up. But other than that is phone is very feature rich with windows mobile 6. Tihs comes especially in handy because im a college student so sometimes i actually type papers while im in class on my phone. other thing about this phone is the great keyboard, it is basically flawless and the buttons are spaced perfectly. All in all this is a great phone i give this phone the title of phone of the year.......

  What a great Phone!

This is a great phone! I have had other HTC, the manufacturer, phones in the past. The T-Mobile MDA etc... This one is the very best so far!

I love the touch screen. Makes it so much faster and easier to use. And of course it facilitates the playing of the games nicely. ;)

The major change in this phone over previous ones is the addition of a numeric pad on the outside of the phone. This set of number keys is for me a great feature. In the past the phone has had to be dialed by touching the screen. Great if you can have the time to look at the screen while dialing it, but a hazard while driving etc...

Other nice things are that the phone is a little slimmer than past versions. Which is nice as the old ones were to be honest a little bulky. Also the stylus/pen is now slid in from the side rather than the bottom. With the old MDA version I found that if I dropped the phone it would pop out just because of the location. I have spent some time on my hands and knees in parking lots looking for it on various occasions. This new design fits tight and should be free of this problem.

This is a slider phone which is a feature I love for todo lists and notes and texting. The keypad was changed from the old version to the new one. So a bit of getting used too will be needed but it still feature separated keys which is nice as I have large fingers. :)

So the pros:
- Fast, feature rich.
- Good keyboard.
- keypad on the outside.
- better stylus placement.
- Touch screen.
- Nice bright screen.

Cons:
- Keyboard was changed which is a little annoying.
- The qwerty keyboard is no longer back lit so typing in the dark is now a real challenge.
- It came without a belt clip, case, or any way to really carry it. Since phones like these are by nature fairly large so carrying in the pocket can be difficult.

I am glad I got it and would buy it again.

Samsung i760 - The BEST PDA yet for Verizon Wireless!
Review created: 03/08/08

What a bold move for me to state this phone is the best Verizon Wireless offers to date. Seriously Terence...isn't there any other phone that would surpass this one? Well, my fellow reader....no! This phone tops the charts in SO many ways, it's hard to explain them all. But here we go as I touch-base on those I see as far substantial to almost even an iPhone!

First, its specs: 1.3MP camera, 128MB of onboard memory (64MB RAM/64MB ROM), Windows Mobile 6 Professional which comes standard with Microsoft Office documents to edit, create, email, and view all except PowerPoint to view, slide-out QWERTY keyboard with rubber keys for easy composition of emails, documents, and texts, slimmer design with phone keypad on the front for dialing, almost half as thick as its predecessor, the i730/i830 series, touch screen with stylus, included accessories as well as a standard AND extended battery with the PDA, microSD slot for max support of 2GB (more can be added with a fix downloaded online), and familiar Windows desktop programs such as Pocket IE, Windows Media Player, and Windows Explorer for using your PDA.

Whew, that was long. What makes this phone so incredible is how fast it runs! I can be composing a text message and send it while viewing a document for my class and having Internet Explorer open while watching my eBay listings. The PDA is built to multi-task! I use various programs included with the phone, and for my usage, it's incredible! I remember trying to use the same documents on an XV6700, and it would just freeze up. Plus, I called it the "Brick Phone" just because it was incredibly thick and tedious to carry around. Sure, this Samsung is still a bit wide, but with the keyboard and its usage, it's worth it.

AND IT'S STURDY! I feel more confident tapping the screen or using the keyboard on this device than I did any other. That's important to me. And, with the ability to tether it to my laptop as a modem, I can blaze around on web sites while in a coffee shop...mmm....starbucks!

Overall, for those of us wanting a "phone away from my laptop," this is your best option year-to-date. Check it out at a Verizon Wireless store; you'll see why I say so when you use it! =)

The Samsung 760 far superior to the Moto Q
Review created: 01/02/08

Having been a Moto Q user for a year, I was ready for this 760! The keyboard on the Q and similar phones (Blackberries), to me, is just not readily usable and compromises the screen size too much. With the 760, the keyboard is usable, the screen is big and additionally, there's a real advantage in usability to having a touch screen! The numeric keys on the front are just more icing on the cake!
The keyboard is more easily "locked" and unlocked than the Q, but need bot be locked at all as the screen powers down after a set period. The "ON" button is easily a one handed single push compared to 2 on the Q.

I'm also thrilled with having FAST WiFi usability. The fuller implementation of Win Mobile 6 on the 760 would make me never go back to the Q. The 760, though slightly larger, is far worth the extra size.
