I recently got this phone around Thanksgiving time with the special deal from Verizon. It retails for $349.99, but we got them with a $300 rebate. Not bad, right?
I have nothing but good things to say about this phone. It's a little larger than some of my friends phone - but not overly large or bulky.
Battery life on the phone is very good. Recharging isn't really that long of a process either.
This is a color screened phone. It has a camera/camcorder. You can send them to yourself on the internet if you want to, fees apply. Photo contact directories are possible with this phone, which is nice to see the caller ID and a picture pop up.
The phone has internet, e-mail and instant messager abilities (AIM, MSN, Yahoo).
This is a V-Cast phone and has many options on the "Get It Now" menu - Get Tunes & Tones, PIX & FLIX, Fun & Games, News & Info, etc.
Some other features are Speakerphone, Speed Dial and Voice Dial. No need to train the phone to listen to your voice, just speak.
The phone also has an MP3 player, but I haven't used it so I can't tell you about it. It can also take a flash memory card.
Another feature of this phone that I've found particularly nice is the bluetooth compatibility. It is great being able to use the wireless headset and be within 30 feet of the phone and having a conversation. This helps a lot when I am driving as well - as I go to school over 450 miles from home and I can make calls on the road while driving. (New York State handsfree cell phone law)
It's a wonderful phone and I definitely recommend it! I'm learning and discovering new things about it every day!

This review is for the Samsung SCH a950 and the Samsung SCH a950 with VCast Music both for the Verizon Wireless network. This phone packs VCAST, Get It Now, a built in 1.3 megapixel camera, camcorder, stereo speakerphone, and Bluetooth wireless technology, it’s the ultimate in high speed, high tech and high style.
The main difference between the two models is the first generation allows you to play MP3 files that you downloaded to your memory card. All new models come flashed with the new software that basically took that capability away but replaced it with a WMA player (Microsoft Windows Media files). Opinions sway in many directions when it comes to MP3 vs. WMA none the less the new models only play WMA. If your looking for the MP3 version make sure you ask the seller before you buy. The plus side with WMA on the newer models is that you can search, preview, buy, and download songs in WMA format directly from and to your phone and another e-mail account that you setup with the service. You download the higher compressed file directly to the phone while the less compressed CD-Quality file is sent to your e-mail address. With an optional VCast Music Kit you get a USB Data cable, Windows Media 10 software and a pair of stereo headphones so you can download your WMA music files to your phone.
This is an excellent looking and solid phone. It has a lot of bells and whistles maybe too many, but it does the job and does it well. The Keypad is well laid out and has medium sized buttons; this may be a problem for those worried about fat fingering numbers. Another stand out feature of this phone is the Intenna. Basically the antenna is built into the case nothing extending out. The plus side is that the phone looks and feels great especially with the red metallic faceplate that is standard. The trade off is that you lose about a bar of signal strength. Those into the media player thing will appreciate the full functioning outside media player buttons and jog dial that quickly allows you to scroll through your files. It’s an awesome phone, great primary or backup phone if you lost your main phone or it was stolen.

speechlessi bought this phone as a gift for my little cousin, i received the phone within like two days, which made my cousin overjoyed. Since having it, she texts me all the time thanking me for getting her the phone, she says that it does just about everything and that she would not trade it for the world. I personally have no dislikes about the phone, since the person i purchased it for is ecstatic about it. i hope to do future business with the seller. Once again, no complaints about the purchase, or the quality of the phone, very, very pleased.

We bought this samsung phone because mine just like it broke. I was about to start harvest and didn't want to have to learn the ins and outs of a new phone so I went to purchase this same one only to find out they don't sell it anymore. I tried a few other phones but none of them compared to what I was already used to with this one. So I got online and found this phone, bought it and had all my personal info transfered. I like this phone primarily because of the sound quality. Most of the other phones I tried sounded like I was talking in a tunnel and I just couldn't get used to it. This one has the same sound quality as my last one, which I love. I dislike that it is not flat but it is worth it to me still. I would plan to buy another one just like this should this one break.

Cutie!I decided to purchase this product because it was different! It is a great phone. The only downside is that I have been using a PDA for almost 3 years now and to go back to a flip phone was a shock to the fingers (or the thumbs I should say). LOL! Then its one of my favorite colors so its a plus. The phone is not too big or small. It can fit in almost anyplace. With the internal antena I get better reception in low areas. I love the fact that I chose this phone. It is wonderful.

samsung sch a950I really like this product. I like the color, style, features and mp3 player. This phone is so cool. I love to send text/pics and how quickly and clearly I can record video. It also downloads synchronized songs quickly. This is just a cool phone, and I love how it slips into my pocket comfortably. I just Love this phone!

Samsung cell phone..I needed a replacement cell phone for my daughter. I did not want to spend the $250 for a comparable one that Verizon was asking. Well built phone. Button presses feel nice. Ringer can be very loud but there are a limited amount of ringers on it when you get it and they all pretty much suck. mp3 player is nice and the camera and camcorder functions are pretty cool. Overall it's an excelent phone and the only thing that could be better would be a smart phone.

My brother accidentally ran over his cell phone when it fell out of his pocket. Since I have had excellent experiences with e-Bay I decided to purchase a used Sam sung A950 with MP3 player and blue tooth capability. I received it in a timely manner but I took it to Verizon to have it activated and it couldn't be because it was showing lost or stolen. I e-mailed Value Cells with the problem and they assured me that was anomaly. I had to go the the post office and pay to send the phone back. I filled out their forms as they ask and reasured me it would not happen again,. The second phone came I embarrassed myself again at the Verizon Wireless store again, it showed stolen or lost. Verizon suggested I do not do business with e-bay again on buying a used phone. I have to send this phone back again but I chose to get a full refund plus all the shipping fees. I do not believe this is a reputable company for e-bay. Not only have I lost valuable time but the embarrassment with my Wireless store and I couldn't tell if it is a good phone or not.

It arrived on time with the postage that I had chosen for it. It had a couple more dings and scratches than I expected. It is a nice phone and works great! The only thing that I really dislike is that the wall charger wont hardly work with the phone.

Its a piece of cheap garbage. The phone fell apart and could not be fixed once the screw came out. We had to get a new phone within 6 weeks! I wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. Very dissatisfied!!!

Why Samsung and Verizon stop offering a good phone like this is beyond me. So when my Samsung SCH A950 was dropped in the lake, I knew I had to look to the good folks on eBay to replace it. This phone has all the features, Front screen ability to play my mp3's, as well as Vcast music, and the best speakers that I have found in a clamshell phone! All packed within it's standout RED color design. I love this phone!
