I bought this printer several weeks ago to replace my old Lexmark InkJet printer and so far, I been loving it every single time I use it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble the parts and about 15 minutes, everything was ready to go.
The speed is reasonably fast for home-business based usage and the quality of printing (even with the Toner Save on) has been much more than I could expect from such a little mono printer.
It takes about 10-15 seconds for the first print if the printer is on the 'sleep' mode, then it prints about 20-25 ppm. No auto duplex printing, but Samsung has made the manual duplex pretty standard and easy. Besides, the printer is very simple for beginner to get through the learning path - there are only two LEDs and one button on the printer.
While this printer has work extremely well for me, there are several drawbacks that you might need to consider before buying it:
1) The retail package does not come with a USB cable. You need to buy an additional USB1.1 "A" to "B" cable in order to connect it to your system. You can, of course, get it quite cheap on eBay.
2) The printer does generate some loud noises while printing, which can be annoying if you're used to work in a more quiet environment. It doesn't bother me much, but my family members complained once that it was a bit too noisy when I send a fairly large batch printing job at night.
3) I couldn't find a software on Samsung website that would show me the ink level of the cartridge. The software that comes with the box is just a driver with a help manual in PDF. Nothing much. Although I've only been using this printer for about a month, I'm sure this can get unpleasant in the future as I can't estimate when to order a new cartridge for replacement.
But overall, for a personal mono laser printer that is under $100 and possibly much less after rebate, I would certainly recommend this printer to anybody.
I have used many printers in my 25 years as a compter consultant and this one ranks quite high. Why?, you may ask. Well for under $100 you can get this laser printer without breaking the bank. The speed it shoots out copies is very impressive and the quality has yet to be dimished. I think I have printed about 1000 copies since I bought it a month ago and have yet to change the toner cartridge. (Try that with any color inkjet printer, even with the default setting at black only). A must have for small businesses or home owners looking to save some money and get quality black and white prints. My only dislike was a paper jam that happened with some bad paper. There is no release button, just have to grab hold and pull hard, but there was no misalignment with the next print which usually happens with other printers. Definetely worth the time to consider this product as a choice for your printing needs.
We had a simular printer and broke down so we purchased this one online. The printer has worked great since it arrived, we are very pleased. Transaction was great too fast delivery and packaged well. Would purchase again from this seller.
i bought the samsung ML printer ,because i need for my school stuff and it is working pretty good for me i did not spend more time in school to waiting for printing some home work just i do it in my own printer . i really like it and it is work good for me so i did not dislike anything about it .i decide to buy it ,because i need it so i saw the same printer in my friend then i asked him where you bought from then i decide to get new one .
I have a friend who has several ML-2010 printers for his tax preparation business. On his advise I bought one for my own use at home. It was simple to set up and has worked great. It is a great inexpensive printer for low to medium usage.
My wife uses the Samsung ML-2010 for school as she is finishing up her degree. Both her and myself like to have written things in our hands and not read from a Monitor. This printer cranks out the pages with a crisp and clear text. I used the starter drum and refilled the toner twice before I had to buy a new drum assembly.I figured I got over 4000 copies out of the first drum and am working on 6K for the second drum. GREAT PRODUCT.
Love this printer. We are realestate agents and print alot of contracts and reports. We use to use an ink jet printer and that was expensive and time consuming. This little printer kicks out 20 pages a min where the inkjet saw maybe 3 on a good day.
Replacement toner is cheap and this brings down the cost of printing. I like this printer so much, I bought 2 of them.
I really like my laser printer, it takes a while to warm up but I think that is normal. I decided to buy it so I could print my own shipping labels and my old printer was terrible and not compatable.
Absolutely a killer home printer! Truly plug and play with great print quality and a great on-screen control window. We now have 2 - a ML1610 and a ML2010. If you're considering this family of Samsung printers take look at ANY of the ML series and consider the lower model numbers (lower pages per minute ie. ML1610)and it's possible to get a great deal comparable to an ink jet. The warmup time is the same and you'll never notice the print speed difference for home use.
i have one on another system i chose this printer because of size, price and work capability it does a good job for my needs printing reports and statements for a small bussiness
I am so pleased with this printer and also was pleased with the price of this laser printer. It was an excellent price for printer and a toner cartridge already installed. I felt that I got a bargain when I bought this printer. I checked online before I bought this printer to see if it was easy to order cartridges for this printer. I recommend this printer highly to anyone considering buying a laser printer for office or home.
Prints fast, clear, crisp B&W prints. Great printer for a equine wagering investment specialist who needs to print out past performances on a daily basis. The prints pump out and the profits roll in.
I had this printer when I was back in military service. It does not come up with many problems and those are really easy to solve by yourself. You can buy it with pretty good price if you search for a while. The only thing that bothers is that it's quite old model and guess the company has stopped to make its toner. But you still can find it online too.
Replaced a Canon all-in-one with this basic easy to use laser. Canon had constant issues, always broken. This printer is great all it does is print clearly in black & white. Perfect. Only reason i didn't rate excellent is the replacement cartridge cost as much as the printer does.
I needed a small inexpensive laser printer for my home office, I found the Samsung ML2010 and it seemed to be just the printer I was looking for. It was very simple to install, and even easier to use. It makes great prints and is just what I was looking for.
I had performed a technical review of this printer prior to purchase so I knew exactly what I wanted. I could have purchased it at my local Staples but decided to try Ebay. I ended up paying $15 less on Ebay for a new printer. It arrived in a few days and has worked perfectly ever since. I have never had a bad experience yet in purchasing items from Ebay.
Great printer. No more inkjet cartridges to buy. Fast, and oh so easy to install. 3000 pages per toner cartridge which you can buy on ebay for $35. Highly recommend.
The Samsung ML2010 Laer Printer is an excellent buy for the amount of money spent. The toner cartridge is among one of the least expensive on the market and the toner saver helps in extending the number of copies that are obtained from one cartridge. The printer is very quiet compared to other laser's and the speed is as advertised and honest. I recommend this printer for home/office and personal use.
It was cheap and prints great. What more can one ask from a mono laser printer? It prints quickly, especially compared to my elderly HP Laserjet III. It also weighs about an eighth as much as the HP and takes up a lot less room. The Samsung is a little noisy when printing, however.
