Love the picture, BUT I can not even give this TV an average rating. In 2.5 years of owning 2 different parts hgave broken. First off, after only 14 months the $300 lightbulb broke. Replaced myself, but this was not the 5 years they tell you.
Second was unbelievable... Something called a "color wheel" broke. Evidently Samsung has known of this problem for at least 2 years before I bought my TV. When this thing breaks, you can not watch TV, it makes a LOUD humming noise. Would cost about 400-500 to fix. I managed to do it myself, BUT had to wait 45 days for the part becuase SOOO MANY people are having this problem the entire USA is out of stock. Do some color wheel research and readd the horror stories. Do the math - in 3 years you might have $800 worth of repairs - just go buy the plasma and be done with it.

The lamp was the correct type. It was much cheaper than the local suppler. No other comment. Will purchase the next lamp the same way.

I needed a projection lamp for a 50" Samsung DLP. I had no information on the lamp type. I went on ebay and connected with River Valley Electronics who fixed me up with the correct part and provided simple instructions. The set works great. Thanks RVE!
