Love the product. Not much difference between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray, but Blu-Ray won. I bought because of that and the deal I got. Product came as advertised. Refurbished by Samsung with all parts, remote and user manual. Was easy to hook up to my system and has given me wonderful results.

The dvd is dead! The sound is so much bigger than the basic dolby digital, the picture is so clean that watching a dvd now is going to be like watching a video tape when dvd came out!

The blue ray cd do not work only reg cd work. and it took to long to get it to me if you sell something make shore it works.

It's a great player even my regular & burnt DVD's look great BUT the big difference is when you play a Blu-Ray disc the picture is so awsome.........

It's a nice dvd player, but i had a hard time downloading the firm wire upgrade. Lucky I had a neighbor who knew more then I did. The product it's self is a easy to use-good quality dvd player.

I love me player. The only bad thing was the firmware update. I spent about two hours updating the firmware before I could watch my first movie. That was a little setback, but other than that, It plays all kovies and has the best picture I have ever seen...

Nice product works well but not able to play some movies (blu ray scary movie) may need to update.
Need to contact samsung to see if this model is upgradable. Will write a new review as soon as i confirm this information

This was one of the early blue-ray players. It would not play some of the newer blue-ray movies. However, the Samsung website has an upgrade for this unit that I downloaded and then copied on to a CD and played it in the player. The P-1000 works great now!

The picture on this unit is outstanding. I know there is a war with Blu-Ray and HD DVD players. I have HD TV and there is difinitly a difference. I am glad I purchased a Blu-Ray player over the HD.

There is a small delay while the DVD loads but it is worth the wait.

I bought the Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray Playerthree weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray Player. . size is perfect has a pretty good lifespan . My only complaint is that the menu system on theSamsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray or perform a additional functions. e simpler menus and get you to important features easily. The player has excellent picture quality and sound. However, after its initial use (first two or three times using it) I began getting this message "Unable to play disk" - this got progressively worse. When it first started happening, I would just have to press 'Play' again, and it would load. Now, I have to turn off the player, unplug the power, and press 'Play' about 15 times in order to get the disk to load. It makes for a very frustrating movie watching experience.

the blu ray has a high quality picture and sound, way better than dvd. The e-bayer that sold the blu ray was asking a good price.

I have not been able to fully use this unit because it is a used damaged unit sold to me as new.

This will be my last purchase from EBay.

The player was purchased, but was not used for a month until we got the new tv. Once connected. the player only worked for two movies. After that it would not play or read any movies. An icon shows up on tv and no movies will play.

Blue Ray technology is great. Player is easy to hook up and use. Excellent quality by Samsung all for a low price.
