Not user Friendly, Does not fit seats for International

This seat is a great idea for air travel however, it needs a lot of adjustments. Its not very user friendly in switching from stroller to car seat. It did not fit the seat for International travel, I have not tried it for domestic but from my experience International planes are bigger than domestic so this would for sure not fit a standard domestic flight seat. Its not as compact as it seems by description. So be aware you will be carrying a big seat around the air ways if you bring this along. Its a wonderful Idea it just needs a huge overhaul on its user friendliness. Needs to be much more compact that it is for air travel.

Travelling with a toddler??? Save your sanity...
Review created: 07/09/08

Took the Safeline Sit n' stroll carseat and stroller to our last vacation. We boarded a total of 4 planes and heres what I discovered:
~ it easily converts from car seat to a stroller
~ it easily fits in the airline stroller bags to facilitate gate check-in vs counter check in. Cause you'll definitely need the stroller moving from 1 gate to another during those connecting flights.
~ the handles telescopes into 3 different lengths to accomodate the height of the user.
~ there are options to connect the car seat to your car- in front or by using the straps in the back.
~ both my infant and my toddler was able to use it.

what would the manufacturer do to improve? (the product is great and worth the purchase but in a perfect world and for the sake of quality improvement - here a few things worth trying)
~ the handles are adequate but seem to feel just a bit flimsy.
~ perhaps rework the structure of the seat so it conforms with the standard stroller/car seat size. this way it will fit easy if you decide to use it in plane seat. And so I can use my standard car seat covers.
~ add a hanging storage system in the back of the seat - the bin under the seat is too small to store anything.

But all in all - I love this stroller/car seat!

This is the one you want. From the car to the plane to the rides at Disney. This is an absolute lifesaver. Light enough to tote and a fine all-around stroller. You'll be the envy of everyone looking for stroller parking. People who haven't seen one will marvel as you fold a full stroller into a car seat and pop it on a chair at dinner.

Dad, this is the stroller you need to get through vacation!

A Must HAve for Traveling with small children
Review created: 04/19/08

I have to say, every time we fly with our sit n stroll , I turn to my husband and say how glad I am that we got one.Our daughter has flown it is since she was a little baby and now knows it as her special seat. she has sat in it for 9 hours straight( with a few diaper changes) with relatively little fuss, and i think it makes her feel safe when we travel, like a haven from all the chaos. We just got another one for our second so it will be interesting to see if she likes it as much as the first one did.
It does take some getting used to and I suggest that everyone do a trial run before you get to the airport. We had many scenarios early on with me holding one in the bjorn and trying to collapse the seat with the other one in it because my husband couldn't figure it out on the fly. I actually took my daughter to Barbados by myself when I was 6 months pregnant with #2. I had to lift it over the seats to get it down the aisle and was able to make connecting flights and manage rolling luggage without any assistance. We have not taken it to Europe so I can't comment on whether or not it fits.We did go to europe and took a backpack stroller instead since the little wheels on sit and stroll are too small for the cobblestone streets where we traveled- but that is a different review altogether.
Anyway, you need to lift the arm rest before you put it in and ask for a seatbelt extender as soon as you board.Once you have it in, push the armrest down to secure it even more and you are good to go....i think the only real negative is that it is kind of ugly...but now they have those cute zebra covers....f

  Great for flying

Very useful for airplane rides. On Southwest it's kind of a pain because you can't roll it down the narrow aisle, but on other airlines I hear it's fine. Great for getting around the airport, but fairly useless as a regular stroller. For someone who flys frequently it's indispensible.

A must have for air travel

We bought the sit 'n stroll a few months ago. A friend of ours had one and we really liked how it worked. It makes air travel with the baby very easy. The seat is FAA approved for air travel and an approved car seat. The wheels and handle fold easily. We have a fussy baby who always fights naps, so we also use it to rock the baby to sleep in our home. It is a great alternative for naps for the fussy baby. A great product.

Safeline Sit 'n Stroll - An Excellent investment!!

This product was wonderful. I do alot of air travel alone with my child and this made it so much easier. It was easy to use even with the child still in the seat. It fit in all the planes I traveled on, big and small. It is stylish and you can hang a bag from the handle bars if necessary. My daughter felt very comfortable and safe.

It was so easy to maneuver through the airport with it. People would watch me, stroller in one hand and luggage in the other. I didnt have to check anything and that was a big plus, too. This system made my last trip so much easier that I dont know how I ever traveled without it!!

Sit n' Stroll- fine if you understand the product well

Buy one with a sunshade if you plan to use it as a stroller. Easy to open or close once you get used to it (although there's no way most people will be able to open and close it with the child sitting in the seat). ***Be sure to get the written directions if you buy used. This isn't an easy product to use unless you read the directions and do a bit of practicing before your trip. Sit N Stroll won't fit down the aisle of small planes. However, it will still fit on the plane seat as a toddler car seat. On larger planes you can push your child right down the aisle. As a car seat it installs easily, although it's not like installing a regular car seat. Once again, you'll need the directions to do it right. You can stroll with one hand and pull a suitcase with the other. Very handy that way. And great not to have to haul around a toddler car seat and a stroller.

THE BEST CARSEAT/STROLLER ON THE MARKET: THE ONLY ONE!
Review created: 04/12/07

We travel a lot. The Sit N Stroll has been our companion across the country, to Europe and to Grandma's house. We have always been told by flight attendants that it won't fit in the airplane seat and it has ALWAYS fit, no matter what the airline or size of airplane. Sometimes you need to insert it from the top down, sometimes you need to angle it in, sometimes you need to put it on the seat with the armrest raised and then lower the armrest, but it always fits. Often you need to get a seatbelt extender because they generally want it facing forward.

The one thing it won't do is roll down most airplane aisles, unless you're flying First Class. Also, it was not comfortable for our newborn because it won't recline unless you put a folded towel under the front edge (a carseat safety expert told us this was OK to do).

It doesn't have big wheels so it doesn't glide easily on bumpy dirt or cobblestones. It isn't the best stroller you can find or the best carseat in the world but it does both jobs pretty well. In the City we use it as our lightweight stroller so we can safely take our baby on the bus or in a taxi.

It works for any baby aged 3 months to 3 years.

SAFELINE SIT' n STROLL - Midnight Blue Standard Stro...
Review created: 03/27/07

This stroller is amazing. I used it to take my baby on a flight to Europe with several connecting flights. I only needed to practice folding and unfolding the stroller portion a few times prior to venturing out then I was able to do so in a second- without even waking my son. I was able to have my stroller to wheel on and off flights(easier pulled on isle) and how incredible it was to use the one hand steering throughout so the other could be free. And to not have a car seat to haul around. It is not a great stroller for cobble stone, however, it worked. It has made our travels with our infant through young toddler extremely simplified. small under storage space fits bottle and a bag with medium strap length fits easily on handle. Great buy. I highly recommend it- just make sure that you spend the time to learn how it works then it will work wonders for you.

  The stroller ROCKS!!!!!

I complete disagree with "majesticmakeup"'s review. Who said bigger plane means bigger seats????? Obviously whoever gave this a negative review didn't use it, nor knowing how to. I used mine on domestic United, AA, Continental (737/757), international Cathay Pacific (A300/747), Continental (777), no problem at all. People are envy that we have something like this. This thing saves us so mucn money. You know why? With this, I don't need to pay $12-$15 a day from car rental. Those car rentals are the worst. They gave you a $25 Walmart booster and charge you $15 a day rental. And did I tell you how convenient it is to take it to a restaurant? No more dirty beat up booster/high chair from the dining place, fold this up and voila! Again, when we travelled in Asia and take a cab, the drivers love it! No more opening the taxi trunk and wait for us to load/unload/fold/unfold, just fold this thing and slide into the back seat and the baby's still sleeping! How cool is that! If you are using traditional stroller, you have to wake your baby up and unbuckle your baby and then put baby into the back seat and hope he'd not cry nor climbing out and then you have to unfold the stroller into the trunk. And you have to REVERSE the process when you and the baby get off the taxi. You gotta be kidding me! This biggie alone makes this stroller rocks! SO WHOEVER GAVE THIS A NEGATIVE REVIEW, READ THE MANUAL FIRST BEFORE TRYING TO USE IT. AND USE IT BEFORE TRYING TO RATING IT.
