I was fortunate enough to be in the crowd at the outdoor ampitheater in Tampa when Sting and Annie Lennox did their concert there two years ago. Or was it three? Who cares? It was a timeless performance which mesmerized me from beginning to end.
I'm now in the 55+ crowd, and although there were many of us there that night and it was getting past our bedtimes, we still managed to rock on. I was one of the last people to leave the concert that night simply because I was so thrilled with this performance.
His video of Sacred Love was spectacular. You could feel the audience responding to this wholly and completely. The name of his tour with Annie, I think was called The Sacred Love Tour. I already owned the CD before the concert, so when I heard about it I got the best seats available.
As with every Sting CD, it's nearly impossible to pick out a favorite song. They are all works of art...each and every one.

Sting Is Always GoodThis was actually a gift but I listened to it. The CD was in fine shape and it made the person I gave it too very happy.

Sting is one wild and crazy guy. Even here on the cover of his latest album Sacred Love, I almost imagine he's trying not to laugh... at how utterly right he is. Of course he would never actually say himself that he was right. That's why he's got us though, right? Sacred Love is one of Sting's most ambitious albums yet, and from the raging gobbledygook of "Inside" to the intricate care taken with the softer songs, to the chaotic firestorm that is "This War", it shows. Some cd's I take to right away, happily bebopping along and enjoying. Others I dislike intensely on the first listen, and they get flung into the depths, never to be listened to again. And then, there's this one. Sting's first collection of original music since Brand New Day was quite a surprise to me. As with most cds, there's some things I like and dislike about this one. At one time or another in my life, I have had a friend who has lived and breathed Sting in my vicinity. Now, either there s something very beautiful that I ve been missing out on, or I attract a very particular form of stalker. You all know his history, founder of one of the biggest rock bands in history, the Police, and left them to pursue his immensely successful solo career in order to explore, experiment and integrate all forms of music into his own eclectic mix of albums and hugely successful songs.
