brad Pitt, Benicio Del Toro, and Jason Statham in a Guy Ritchie directed film. This is a great movie. It has plenty of action, suspense, and comic relief. You won't be disappointed.

Great action movie. Lots of twists, but somewhat easy to keep up with if you pay attention. Remember names too, which isn't too hard by the way to movie does introductions. Very funny as well. Definately a staple for a movie collection.

  watch and watch again

At first it was hard to get into the flow of the movie. Since it's a foreign movie it moves a little differently. Brad Pitt's character annoyed me since I couldn't understand a word he was saying and I kind of let that throw me off. It was only during the second or third watching that I began to pick up on the complexities of the characters and really got into the movie. Wonderful movie. I bought a copy for my husband, he's usually the 'first 30 minutes' kind of guy (american movies) and it's going to be a challenge for him to get past that to understand the genius of the movie. I have no doubt he will and it will become a favorite of his also.

get your mind out of the gutter ebay. snatch is a verb.
Review created: 02/07/08

i can't believe the censor the title. yes snatch is vaginal slang sometimes, but not in this instance. anyway this is one of the greatest movies ever. i had owned a vhs copy for several years that i've worn out and decided to upgrade to this new thing called dvd. if you like watching smug sarcastic british people arguing you'll love this movie. if you like movies where several people are all after one thing and cross and double cross each other you'll love this movie. come see jason statham and vinnie jones before they were the transporter and juggernaut. they're both infinitely more bad ass in this movie.

  I love this movie.

If you are a musician (or anybody for that matter). You will love this movie. It reminds me of a piano version of CROSSROADS, which any one of the millions of people who were inspired to play from a movie will know what I am talking about. Performances are top noch, excellent movie!

I loved this movie so much that I wanted to add it to my collection. If you are a fan of "Quentin Tarantino" style movies with slick actors, gangsters, and lots of fast dialog, then this movie is for you. I have played it three times since I bought it two weeks ago. Great for a Seattle rainy day when you need a laugh!!

Why Do I like Sn*tch? Let me count the ways....
Review created: 12/08/06

1) This movie was the first time I ever burst out laughing in a movie theater.
2) After living in England, the humor is even FUNNIER.
3) I cannot hold a conversation without quoting this movie.
4) Some of the monologues should go down in movie history as the best writing ever.
5) Guns. Fighting. and a half-naked Brad Pitt, who cares if you can't understand him.
and the best reason why I love this movie...
6) I met my current boyfriend while watching this film, so therefore its a good guy/girl film.

  Pure genius
Review created: 11/18/05

A true landmark film with excellent sound and editing and overall great acting, particularly from Jason Stathom, Brad Pitt and Vinnie Jones. Highly entertaining and one of the best crime films in recent history. Very stylish with witty dialogue, this Guy Ritchie is probably second only to Tarantino in this genre of film. The music and sound are perfect and this movie is easily a 5 out of 5.

Guy Ritchie's Snatch - Be sure to watch the doggie!
Review created: 08/30/02
by: telynor-- a member of Epinions and Advisor in Movies

Pros:
Intense, action packed film. With a real plot, no less!

Cons:
Extremely gory and violent -- not for children!

I don't usually watch violent movies. Especially if there's things like dismemberment, burning, torture, and high caliber weaponry. And I usually don't laugh. However... This time, I was roaring, and wiping my eyes because I was laughing so hard. Guy Ritchie (otherwise known as Mr. Madonna) wrote and directed this surrealistic tale of a diamond, a dog and a drag-out fight, told in series of flashbacks, multiple angles and points of view. The cast is huge, with a couple of big names to add luster, and most of the cast being british unknowns or character actors. There's also plenty of tongue in.

by: andym173 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
witty script, statham, pitt, del torro, jones, ford

Cons:
i hate vinnie jones; yet i want more of bullet-tooth tony. frankie four-fingers too.

Don t you hate those people who try to be a jack of all trades in life? Yeah, I kind of do too. Well, I m not saying that I resent every single one of them, it s just that when certain people appear to be trying to do it (especially talentless people), I get really ticked off. (Although, to be fair, Jennifer Love Hewitt attempts to sing and act, is good at neither, and I can hardly say anything bad about her can I?) Enter a Mr Vinnie Jones, who for more than 10 years personified my figure of hate on the soccer field. He would pull any dirty trick to try to get the upper hand on his opponent ..

Just Don t Take it Seriously
Review created: 10/02/01
by: t13monkeys-- a member of Epinions and Top Reviewer in Movies

Pros:
funny lines, great acting, Guy Ritchie's cool factor

Cons:
excessive violence/profanity, senseless nudity, not for everyone

Snatch never really sounded too good as a preview. The trailer for it was short, and critics had little to tell about the movie. The film however was not bad at all, there simply wasn t enough hype. So to start this review off, a brief synopsis if you will: Synopsis Snatch s plot works in a two path format. First there is the plot about a diamond heist, who wants the diamond and where it ends up and then there s another plot line that revolves around a boxing promoter called Turkish and his partner Tommy. Obviously the two are meant to entwine, but not after an intriguing cast of characters...

SNATCH: Lock, Stock and . . . Wanna Buy a Dog?
Review created: 01/24/01
by: macresarf1 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Writer/Director Guy Ritchie creates a bizarre group of characters Gerald Kersh would have loved.

Cons:
Ritchie may need to think harder about the exhausting shape of his films.

In Writer/Director Guy Ritchie's SNATCH, we are back in a London until recently rarely explored, the World of Gerald Kersh. It is a world of the Docklands and the East End, now being gobbled up by the dot.comers of the New World Order. It is a world full of traveling con artists, immigrant business men, wrestlers, boxers, promoters, gamblers, thieves, hustlers, pimps, thugs, hitmen -- left handed entrepreneurs, if you will. We can imagine that Ritchie must be an aficionado of Kersh, and a deep student of Kersh's work. Kersh is best known for his novels Night and the City and Fowlers End,...
