THIS WASN'T WRITTEN BY MCMURTRY. BUT IT IS SO WELL WRITTEN WITHIN THE FORMULA OF LONESOME DOVE THAT IT WAS COMPLETLY SUCCESSFULL. THE ACTING IS SUPERB. JON VOIGHT, ESPSPECIALLY.
GUS WAS KILLED OFF AT THE OF LONESOME DOVE SO IT WAS SMART TO CONCENTRATE ON CALL'S YOUNG SON, NEWT TO TAKE ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE SUCCESSFUL CALL/MCCRAY RELATIONSHIP THAT WAS A LARGE PART OF LONSOME DOVE'S SUCCESS. AND IT WAS ESPECIALLY SMART TO RECAST RICK SCHRODER IN THIS ROLL TO ESTABLISH LEGITAMACY THROUGH CONTINUITY.

The movie I won was in excellent condition when I received it. I am pleased with the price and the time it took to be mailed to me. Thank you again

I couldn't watch this on tv because of all the commercials. This movie turned out better than the others McMurty turned out with Lonesome Dove the exception. Maybe because he didnn't write it.

Nothing can be better than the original Lonesome Dove which left me wanting more. This movie is well worth getting and continues on to show what happens in the lives of many of the characters. I didn't expect Jon Voight to come close to Tommy Lee Jones' performance but he did a great job although his accent was different. Barbara Hershey was well cast as Clara and I could see her playing the character in the original movie. I am happy to have this DVD in my collection and will enjoy watching it often. I would love to see a future movie to find out what happens to Newt (Ricky Shroeder)in his life as well as Call and the Hat Creek Cattle Ranch. The DVD was delivered super fast and in excellent condition thanks to a great seller.

I believe the players were perfectly cast and i just throughly enjoyed it. Wish I could leave feedback for the players without going thru the process of registering and giving all the personal info to some company that just wants to sell you something.

This movie is a classic! If you haven't seen the first one: Lonesome Dove, you must see it first! Love the characters! Great story, full of action and drama! A must see for all western lovers!

This moviewas made in Montana and I have relatives as extras. I was able to slow frame the movie and see my relatives.

ONE OF THE BEST WESTERNS I'VE EVER SEEN. THERE SHOULD BE MORE MOVIES MADE THAT SHOWS QUALITY TRAITS SEEN IN THIS FILM.

We bought the dvd because of the recent lonesome dove series that was on television. It was very interesting in the way that they tied the series together and how the characters aged from the first series to the second series. It seemed very accurately portrayed and was very interesting story line and material.

EXCEPT FOR THE ACTORS BEING DIFFERENT IT WAS WONDERFUL, AND THE ACTORS DID A GREAT JOB. AGAIN IT ENDED TO SOON. :)

look i just like a good westurn all my friends said it was a good westurn so i purchased it to see for myself. i don,t know what i like or dislike about it. i havn,t had the time to whatch it all. its a long movie.and i really don,t have the time to write you a review on every movie i by on ebay if this is going to be a habit of haveing to write my life history on why i like or dislike a movie, then im just gonna buy them from the store from now on. im sorry if i sound like a snob. gls

The 1st one is much better,did like it and would recommend it. Like the Lonesome Dove sagas. If you like westerns you will like these movies.

I have been a big fan of the Lonesome Dove series since I first saw it on TV. I have been looking at various video outlets for this DVD recently and have been unable to find it. I ran across this copy and the price was very attractive so I made the purchase using the "buy it now" option. It is a good addition to my collection. Some of these titles have not been previously available in the DVD format. I wish alot more of the older westerns were available on DVD.

This is an excellent movie. A sequal to Lonesome Dove, this movie was well put together, and followed the story line from the first movie. I had been trying to find this movie for some time now, and I was really happy to find it on e-bay. It completes the collection I started with the first movie. I loved it from the first opening of the movie.

Great movie. Always wanted it. One of a kind. They don't make them like this movie anymore. I'm very happy with it and the service I got.

I was very happy to receive my movie. I hadn't been able to find it anywhere else. It came as quickly as possible and completes my Lonesome Dove collection.

I could not keep myself from growing attached to leading actors and felt like I lost a dear friend when they were killed.
Certainly gave you an idea how hard and unforgiving the "old west" was.

This was part 2 of 3 parts to the Lonesome Dove saga. I didn't like losing some of the original cast; but I bought it to help complete the collection.

Return to Lonesome Dove is one of the most entrancing movies ever produced. The characters come to life in this old time western. This is a sweeping epic that stays with you long after the dvd player is turned off. While on the long side, the final result is worth the time. Return to Lonesome Dove is a movie to recommed to your friends and family.

It was a gift. I have not seen it. It came in a box. The box was in good condition. It came on time. I cannot review what I did not watch.

Purchased for my father who loves the entire series. He had worn out his old vcr tapes and I bought this to replace his old tape.

If you liked "Lonesome Dove" you will also love "Return To Lonesome Dove". Although Gus Mccray is dead, they still keep him alive in a sense. The whole movie revolves around his life and the person that he was. Jon Voight does a fabulous job of taking over the role as Woodrow Call. Woodrow Call teams up with another former Texas Ranger and they set off on an adventure driving wild horses across the plains with a somewhat misfit outfit. Gus has a halfbreed daughter that is bitter at him until she finds the real truth about her father. The unanswered questions come together to make a wonderful story! A MUST HAVE for all the western lovers.

I liked the format of the ebay store, made it simple to find movies I was looking for. Prices very reasonable. Will use again in the future.
