This game is the best on the Sega Dreamcast. The story could of been better. The zombies are friggin' scary as hell, the gameplay action is awesome and the music is scary.
i bought it for the fact that the series of resident evil/biohazard games have been great hits. this one in particular has been a great one and i haven't seen it been made for another system. most definately a game to play if you havent played it or if you actually follow up on resident evil lore.
Truly a great game that really compliments the Resident Evil Series. I decided to buy after I unearthed my old Dreamcast system, and am glad for doing so.
This is my favorite Resident Evil to date, although Resident Evil 4 is probably tied with Code Veronica. This has great graphics and all the key elements of Resident Evil, all of the puzzles and zombies that you could ask for. In this version, you hold the R trigger to shoot just like all the other Resident Evil's but they added a great feature, tap the L trigger to switch targets! This is great when you have 2 or more zombies walking towards you...fire a couple rounds into one, tap the L trigger and fire a few into the next and so on. It is definitely one to get if you are a fan of Resident Evil. This game is also available on PS2.
This is by far the best game for Dreamcast ever released!!! Now lets just get this straight. Resident Evil 4 is the best Resident Evil of all time, this game rivals RE:2 for the second best title. When this game first came out it was the longest Resident Evil to date...recently beaten out my RE4. This game was a major break from the series in that alot of the graphics weren't prerendered. The storyline is probably the most compelling of all the Resident Evil's. The story goes much deeper and you really get to "care" about what happens in the end. Load times are significantly decreased in comparison with past RE games due to the speed of the Dreamcast which ehlp the story flow better. Of course the music, sound effects and controls are all what you'd expect from Resident Evil. Although, Dreamcast players may find it difficult at first to adjust to the controls but it's a breeze to use after you've got it down. The replay value is pretty good, partly because of the story line and partly because you can unlock a bonus game by meeting certain qualifications when you beet the game. This game really upped the ante for the survival horror genre which Resident Evil created. You owe it to yourself to get this game, either on Dreamcast or the Playstation 2! It doesn't matter which, plus the price for the Dreamcast game is probably less.
