Good movie if you like the genre

Great Picture and sound. With the Blu-Ray DVD transfer its great watching it in HD. I the plot and acting are solid, but I really think having seen the regular dvd vs. the Blu-Ray there is no comparison. If you like the story you will love the Blu Ray version

Pros:
Tarantino's Direction, Script, Cinematography, Cast, & Everything Else.

Cons:
Not One F*cking Thing.

Throughout the history of independent films, there was always an argument on when it really started. Some would say it began with sex, lies,

Pros:
Direction, Screenplay, Acting, Sound

Cons:
None, a genre classic. Not for the squeamish, however.

Reservoir Dogs (1992) Quentin Tarantino has established himself as one of the hottest directors in Hollywood with the smash hit Reservoir Dogs . Since its release, the movie has become a cult favorite, with discussion groups, fan clubs, and Internet websites devoted exclusively to it. It has also spawned countless copycat films hoping to cash in on the elusive formula of success. Oddly enough, even Tarantino has never made a better film; more successful yes, better, no. Basically what Hollywood would once classify as a B movie, Reservoir Dogs took the public by storm with its stylish...

Pros:
Innovative use of pacing and plot reveal, catchy dialogue setup, creative DVD design

Cons:
Annoying use of language and perverse dialogue

Reservoir Dogs is one of those movies that was pretty good when I first saw it but not so good once I knew what happens. Granted there are still elements I still like, but as a whole it was ehhh okay. Everyone knows by now what the movie is about right? It s a heist gone bad. The foiled criminals make their ways back to the hideout to figure out what happened and what to do next. Some suspect a rat in their ranks while others think their troubles have been caused by the psychopathic killer that turned the robbery into a bloodbath. As one man bleeds to death on the floor of the hideout the...

Pros:
we finally get some meat on the disc

Cons:
non-spectacular color

In case you've never heard of or seen Reservoir Dogs, let me set one thing straight right at the outset: The film has nothing to do with canines living in a place where water is collected and kept for use when wanted. The story is actually an intriguing crime drama about a diamond heist gone wrong. The oddest thing about the film is that we never see the crime--the entire thrust of the story was comprised of the events leading up to and following the robbery, but not one frame of film is dedicated to a straightforward depiction of the events that took place within the shop. Opting instead to..

Dialogue, character, narrative, music, acting, direction... etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum

Cons:
"The Laugh"

MY REVIEW OF THE MOVIE PROPER I remember the first time I saw "Reservoir Dogs". About a dozen of us packed into a buddy's living room. We were all under 18 back then, and couldn't legally get a copy of the video, but buddy managed to get his greasy little hands on a second- or third-generation bootleg copy. So he popped that sucker into the VCR, and we all shuddered in anticipation of what we were about to see. It felt like we were dealing in contraband, or selling moonshine, or jaywalking. Anyway, it felt dangerous. We had all heard so much about the movie, and couldn't wait for the cussing..
