I read this book after I overheard 2 friends of mine raving about it. I borrowed the copy that was circulating around and it took me a day and half to finish - I could not put it down!! I am a Christian and had never read the book of Hosea. Redeeming Love is based off that story (which I recommend reading as well) which is about God's unconditional, absolute love. After all, if God asked you to marry a prostitute would you believe He was actually asking that? Would you obey? Could you? Would you be able to endure all the trials that come with the emotional baggage of one so hurt and broken? The story tells us that all things are possible when God is in them.
I could never give this book a review worthy of what it deserves, but after reading Redeeming Love, it is my all time favorite book. Read it for yourself and I am sure you will agree. Share it with others, it is truly eye-opening and inspirational!!

I bought this book for my sister. I had read it and loved it...it is a great read, expresses God's love for us as we read a fictional account based on the Book of Hosea in the Bible.

I spent EVERY extra minute I had reading this book! It is an exciting fictional retelling about the real Hosea. I borrowed this book from one friend and now I am buying a copy to give to another friend. You will want to share it with others!

It is an awesome book. A definite must read. You literally get involved in the lives of the characters.

francine caption her reader attention and keeps it throughout this book. it a wonderful and thrilling book and it reminds in each page about God's talking to us and if we listens. i will be reading more of francine rivers books. she is a fantastic writer and you can feel God's hand in her work.

It is absolutely THE best book I've read period! It taught me SO much about God and His amazing love for us that HE would come after us time and time again, even though we sin and turn against him all those times! What an amazing book!!!

It is my favorite. You must read it. Its an awesome story beautifully written. This book is for everyone. Everyone can enjoy it no matter in what situation your in or if you like to read or not. I guarantee you will love it!!!

My cousins had told me about this book and said I would have to get it. I found it on eBay and purchased it. I read the entire book in one day. It was not only well written but it was believable and you could feel the characters frustration. I think it could even be used as a tool to help people understand the unconditional love of Jesus. I highly recommend this book.

I had actually read redeeming love before I bought it. AFter reading it once I knew I HAD to own this book so that I coudl read it again and again. It is well written and deals with soem very delicate subjects quite tactfully. I would not recommend this book for young women under the age of 15 or so becuase of the issues it deals with. This book is an awesome reminder og God's love for us regardless of our past or who we may think we are.

This is an excellent story set in a different era, the 1800's. It is based on the Biblical story of Hosea's love for Gomer, a prostitute. However, it is still appropriate for even more modern times because true and undying love as Michael had for "Angel" is never limited to a certain time or era, it's for all times. However, the love Hosea had for Gomer and the love Michael had for Angel is a much deeper, disciplined and honoring love that can only come from an acceptance and commitment to Christ. Angel had never experienced what true love really was. She had only experienced "lustful" passion, which trys to imitate love. That's why Michael was so patient with her so she would come to know the true and only love everyone needs to know, the love of Jesus Christ.

For anyone trying to decide whether to read this book or not, read it! It's an excellent story, but I do think it's more of a woman's book. I will be reading more of Francine Rivers novels because they have good content, they are well written and have a very good message.

One of the best books I have ever read. All of Francine Rivers books are good but she out did herself on this one. The book is in like new condition. I bought two more for my teenage grandaughers I will read it several times and then pass on to my sisters.

This novel is an incredible story of healing and unconditional love--truly therapeutic! Redeeming Love shares a powerful message of biblical truth of God's heart for His people. I have read this book twice now, and wanted to buy another one because I gave away my first as a gift. Enjoy and let your life be changed!

This was the first book by Francine Rivers I had ever read. This is a fictional elaboration of the story of Gomer and Hosea in the Bible. There is very little written (in fact less than one sentence)in the Bible about this relationship, but Francine Rivers has created a wonderfully moving and heart-wrenching story of persistence and love. Ms. Rivers' characters are balanced evenly. There is no hero or heroine that you must prefer over another character. Each one's motives and inner thoughts are heard and appreciated. I found myself pleading with the characters to just talk to each other and be understood. I loved this book!!! It has prompted to buy 5 more of her books. I am hooked completely on this author because of this first book. Thanks for the witness and the enjoyment.
