Pros:
Beautiful, touching story with believable characters and a great message
Cons:
Thematic elements make it too mature for younger readers
This book is one of my all time favorites. It is kind of like a Christian "Moulin Rouge" in a way. It deals with many of the same issues...identity, prostitution, truth, freedom, love.... Whatever you do, don't skip the Prologue. I begged my mother to read this book and she skipped it, thinking it was unimportant. When the story opens, little Sarah is excited because her father is coming to visit her. She is wearing her best dress in hopes to look as pretty as possible so that her father will love her.
