Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers (2001)

This book is one of the best I've ever read. And I've read it many times and will read it plenty more. A beautiful picture of God's love for His wayward children portrayed through the story of Michael Hosea and Angel. Very romantic and heart-wrenching. You won't be able to put it down! Plan enough time to finish the book in one sitting!

Bought it because it was our book club selection for the month. It was a really good choice. I was afraid that it was too big to finish before the next meeting but it was a real page turner. I found that my sister and two nieces had passed around a copy and one of my nieces decided she had to have her own copy, said "it was a keeper". It was tame enough not to be offensive and spicy enough to keep my interest.

Anything Francine Rivers writes is wonderful, but this one is just the sweetest. Thank goodness for a good Christian writer. Book arrived in a timely manner. I would order again.

This is an amazing book and the price that I bought it for was super. It came so fast I couldn't believe it was the same order.

This book is great for someone who has gone through alot of pain in their life, but it's also an awesome story about love, forgiveness and redemption. I recommend this to everyone. I read it in a day and a half, it was so good I couldn't put it down!

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is a story about a man who marries a girl he rescues from a brothel in a gold rush town in California. An illigitimate child who has come to expect abuse, the girl cannot handle being loved and repeatedly retreats from her husband. He finally gives up bringing her back and leaves her to work things out on her own. She is determined to make it without returning to prostitution but what else can she do? Unpredictable and realistic, the end of the story is both beautiful and satisfying.

Redeeming love is a great story. It is hard to put the book down. It is a Christian love story. Check it out. Well worth it.

Loved it - someone told me about it- It is an excellent book to read that is christian based about unconditional love like the Lord and Jesus have for us but in human form

it arrived in good condition, but it took a little longer to arrive than i thought it would. i appreciated the personal emails i received regarding my purchase. i haven't received that kind of service before through online shopping. thanks a bunch!

I am terribly displeased with my purchase. If I received the book that I ordered, I probably would have an excellent review. But I I have not received it, and I ordered it over a month ago. I put in a claim, and no one has emailed me back. (Especially the person I bought it from.)

I'm not a reader and have only read a handful of books in my life. Francine Rivers makes it so easy to follow and read. Everytime I put the book down, I could still see the scenes like I had been watching a movie and just pushed pause. This was actually my second time reading Redeeming Love and it was better than the first time! I can't compare this to any other books since I have not really read many others. I can tell you that once you start reading, you won't want to stop!

This book was highly recommended by many of my friends. It is a very good story and leaves you with great hope when finished.

I would write a review for a Francine Rivers book anytime anywhere, and they would all say the same thing, almost! Absolutely superb Christian novelist!! This book was especially wonderful. the topic deals with prostitution and sexual intimacy, however, never once did it feel dirty or sinful to read it. She does a wonderful job of helping you to understand how God can love the sinner and hate the sin. As usual, Rivers takes you so completely "there" that you feel like you know the people. You experience their joys and heartache, very realistically. If you have never read a Francine River's book, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised, probably to the point of looking up every other Christian novel she has written so you can read them.
one last thing: I doubt you will look at your own sin the same after reading this book. It really shows how much our sin wounds the tender heart of God.

This is the most beautiful love story, love between a man and a women and love between God and His creation. This would touch the heart of anyone.

WOW, what a wonderful book. I like to read but I could not put this book down. It is a powerful story of love and faith. It gave me such a good feeling after reading this book that I want to read it again and again. I have never read a Francine Rivers book before and can't imagine any other book coming close to how powerful this one is. I LOVED it. I will be sharing it with friends and family.

My daughter got this for me and I hesitated at first because I;m not a big reader, but I've been throught this one twice already and will probably again sometime.I found myself angry at Angel for the way she treated Michael but soon realized why she did all she did and ended up loving her! I cried as much the second time as the first!

I love the fact that the author has taken a story from the bible, and rewrote it for the Gold Rush days. Very well written, It was hard to put the book down, I recommend this author for anyone to read, very heart touching, brought tears to my eyes

I am so excited to find this author. I never used to want to read until this book was recommended and I could not put it down. I have bought 9 more by her.
The last Sin Eater also requires tissues at the end. These books make you realize how unconditional God's love is. Try it you'll like it!

I just finished this book and I really enjoyed it! It's easy to get involved in the characters, especially Angel and Michael. Now I want to read the book of Hosea from the Bible. Thanks for making me want to pick up the Bible again, Francine!
