Pros:
Baker's golden voice and classy songwriting deftly combines R&B and jazz.
Cons:
It's probably time for a remaster.
Perhaps it might not make sense for a rock 'n roll lover or a hip-hop fan, but many of us who are into R

The album cover of Rapture reveals all you need to know about Anita Baker and her music: soft, sweet, sultry, colorful, inspired, breath-taking in its size and delicate features. Beautiful to behold, and a treat to ears and mind to listen to, Anita Baker is the quintessential female R

Pros:
mood lifting, great for whole family listening
Cons:
none!
I bought this album on a cassette in 1986 because my first love dubbed it "ours". I had never listened to Anita Baker, and I should not admit that I never bought another of her albums. Pros:
Smooth and Relaxing
Cons:
None
For any one out there who doesn't know who Anita Baker is, there's a disc I think you should get with urgency. It's entitled "Rapture". It is by far the very best L.p. Anita has ever put out. Don't get me wrong, I like the L.p.'s that followed this 1986 release - Givin' You The Best That I Got, 1988 - Compositions, 1990 - Rhythm of Love, 1994. Those L.p.'s are also noteworthy in their own respect, but Rapture had a vibe everyone could get with. Starting from the very first song "Sweet Love" to the last track "Watch Your Step", you feel her presence in the room as she wails throughout the...
