Excellent acting. Took place where I live so was neat to see familiar sights. First half was the best. Good story of how 2 lives were turned upside down due to a plane crash. I decided to buy it because I saw it on HBO and liked it.
Very good movie...we got it on a good day, we were snowed in with 10 inches of snow! It gave us something good to watch, with a cup of hot chocolate. The movie was action packed and very good. And with a good ending. I'd reccomend it as a couples movie.
this movie is like nothing we have ever seen!!! It is an excellent movie and we really enjoyed watching it. The DVD is in excellent condition and we will enjoy the movie again and again.

Pros: Um... some things weren't absolutely terrible...
Cons: ... most of it was, unfortunately...
Random Hearts is a film I d wanted to see for a long time, largely I suppose because I like Harrison Ford but also because it looked like an interesting premise and some strange part of me wondered if it would be anything like the old classic Random Harvest (an excellent 1942 film starring Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson). I know, it s just a similar name, that s not reason enough for me to believe there might be anything similar about the films. I did say it was a strange part of me that thought it. From the Academy Award-winning producer and Director Sydney Pollack (Out of Africa Best...

Pros: Interesting premise.
Cons: Two blocks of wood interact.
You would think that with a cast composed of Harrison Ford (ah, what a man!), Kristin Scott Thomas (beauty and class), and with Sydney Pollack (smarts and sly wit) directing a film that's a mystery as well as a romance, it would have been packing the theatres and getting the audiences in for a treat. The premise is interiguing to say the least: A US Congresswoman, Kay Chandler(Thomas) and a dectective, "Dutch" Van Der Broeck (Ford) discover that their respective spouses have been cheating on them, with each other. When they find out, after the adulterous couple get their just desserts in a...

Random Hearts (1999)

Pros: Harrison Ford doesn't wear his ear ring
Cons: everything else
Were I to compile a worst of 1999 list, "Random Hearts" would most assuredly rest near the top. Starring the usually enjoyable Harrison Ford, the usually talented Kristin Scott Thomas, and directed by hit or miss actor/director Sydney Pollack ("Tootsie", "The Way we Were"), I figured that a film with a plot line this ludicrous would at least be able to redeem itself in some small way. I couldn't have been more wrong. "Random Hearts" is the story of finding love in times of tragedy, gaining strength and support through those who know what you've been through. At least that's what it purports.

Wake Me When It's Over....zzz.z..z..z...

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Boring, lack of plot, poor acting
I saw the preview to this movie and thought that there was an interesting plot behind the previews. Well I was quite wrong. Basically, the preview sums up the movie. The plot proceeded extremely slowly. There was virtually no dialogue. The basic theme of the movie revolves around the concept that Harrison Ford's wife dies in a plane crash, and Ford discovers that she traveled under a false name and to a false destination. So the rest of the movie must uncover a confusing tangle of lies, deceit, intrigue, etc...? Not at all. Half of the movie is consumed with Harrison Ford accosting the wife...

Random Hurts!

Pros: I'll have to get back to you on that.
Cons: just about everything.
This was an entirely disappointing movie viewing experience. Harrison Ford is a police officer whose wife is killed in a plane crash with her married lover. Two dead spouses, two living. So.... So what! There is a hint of a story here, but it is never realized. This is a drama lacking in...drama. Not to mention common sense, believable characters, or good dialogue. Because his dead wife's infidelity came as a shock to him, Ford becomes completely and morbidly obsessed with finding out all the juicy details of her relationship with the now-dead lover. Not just where they met, or when, but what.
