Pros:
Fantastic story, perhaps best work of both Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise.
Cons:
Lots of the F-word until about halfway through.
Now and then there's a rare movie where you wish that two strong, equally essential characters could each win Best Actor Oscars. To me, both Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman deserved the top prize for Barry Levinson's Rain Man. Hoffman did take home the statue, and the picture and Levinson did, too.
