Rain Man (2004, DVD)

I loved the movie, but the "F" word was too much and totally unnecessary. Dustin Hoffman will always be one of the great actors and he was perfect in his part. Lots of love and compassion which makes it a movie to rerun over and over again.

The story held my interest. The acting was superb. I decided to buy it because I saw it years ago, and my husband didn't. I wanted to let him enjoy seeing it, also.

I want to thank you for the prompt delivery and New version of Rain Man. The price was right and packaging was done right.

RAIN MAN is AN AWESOME FILM!! It is an older film(80's) that has been digitally remastered on DVD. We have loved this movie since it was first introduced, back in the day. Dustin Hoffman plays an Autistic Adult, and Tom Cruise plays his long lost brother, whom he never knew existed. The come together at a time when their father passes. At first their relationship is quite distant and unknown, with Cruise having other intentions. Once they begin to spend a day or two togther, their emotions grow on each other, and they develope a long-lost bond. Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise PLAY EXCEPTIONAL PARTS, as well as other great faces which make this movie come together. AN EXCELLENT FILM!!! A LOT OF ACTION, VERY VERY INTERESTING, VERY WELL WRITTEN, A MUST SEE!! Also, all of the music fits very well into the movie, making it memorable.

Rent It or Buy It? If you havent seen it, BUY IT!!
Most of us that have seen it, own it! Its a CLASSIC you'll be sure to watch over and over!

The movie is just great! I bought it to see a classic and it is truly a beautiful film on a disorder that most people tend to judge with ill attitudes.

I bought a DVD movie, Rain Man, with a very reasonable price and shipping in December. However, the picture on the auction was totally different from the DVD I received, and it seemed like the one I got is completely different version, but the seller confirmed that it was because the picture was provided by Ebay (I still have that e-mail message). I have nothing to complaint about the DVD because it is yet unopened. It's not valuable to return the item because the internationl shipping cost is almost the same cost as the price of the DVD plus shipping that I paid. Again, there is nothing to complaint about the product. It is just very disappointed

I bought it because my little cousin mentioned how she had never saw the movie. I remember watching it when I was younger with my uncle and thought it was a good movie with a point. So I searched for it and found a good purchase price. It's an excellent movie just to have in my collection. It's one of those older movies that people just remember or remember parts of.

Boy you just can not beat Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman together in movie. This movie was great and I can see why Hoffman won an award for his acting performance. It made you laugh and cry. I loved it and will enjoy watching it for years to come.

Can`t hardly beat Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise in a movie together. Will watch this one repeatly. Hoffman does a really great job playing Raymond and so does Cruise in the roll of Charlie.

My wife is a graduate level Psychology Professor at a local University and they were studying autism as part of one of her classes. There were specific parts of the movie that were applicable to her class, so that's why I purchased the DVD.

This movie is a classic about a man who never knew he had a brother... It's a tear jerker and a guys flick at the same time... GREAT acting by both Hoffman and Cruise. A Must see!!

This was a great movie. Both Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise were at there best in this movie. Well acted, well directed. I loved the characters. And the story line keeps you interested.

Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise combine in a moving redemption drama that raises a host of questions about the nature of loyalty and love. Opening scenes show Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise) to be an unprincipled hustler without either quality. As the film unrolls, the seeds of both are planted and his self-interest and self-absorption turn to something more charitable. Greed and a desire for confrontation are supplanted by an altruistic spirit, a desire to protect and, for want of a longer word, by love.

Motive and goals, loyalty and love, dispassion and engagement are examined in different situations from the bedroom to the casino. Hoffman gives a remarkable performance as an idiot savant; Tom Cruise plays Tom Cruise; Maria Colino plays a tough but sympathetic role as Charlie Babbitt's girlfriend. Music by Hans Zimmer is predictably excellent; the hand of Barry Levinson is firmly in control. A great film to own and to revisit.

I wanted to own this movie as part of my collection. I haven't seen it in years and I really enjoyed watching it when it arrived. Also, the price was right. The movie was in excellent condition and was arrived in a timely manner.

RAIN MAN is one of my favorite movies. I bought it to add to my collection. This was a challenging role for Dustin Hoffman and he passed all expectations and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. He rightfully deserved it. Tom Cruise was excellent in his role as the selfish, conviving brother. Yet after spending time and getting to know his mentally challenged brother, his character learn to love and become completely unselfish. I like happy endings.
