I like the stretching. It has really helped me with this pregnancy. Its exactly what I need and it is not to strenuous yet it really is strengthening and toning my muscles!

  Not bad for a beginner

I enjoyed this video very much. The intensity level was just right for me and it was relaxing at the same time. The only thing I didn't like was the number of props it required me to have (a chair, a blanket, exercise bands...)

I like this DVD cuz Shiva Rea is really good. She answers most of the common pregnancy v.s. exercise/ yoga question, explains each movement well, and has 2 other ladies who are both pregnant in different trimester.

The DVD is really relaxing, it helps you stretch and breath so well, and it also takes you to do some kegel exercise. This yoga DVD really isn't the same as her other DVDs, they are not moving so fast, and there aren't a lot of muscle strengthening.

What I am not sure about it, after the workout, I don't feel like I got any 'real exercise,' and I'm not sure if I should or should not feel that way. I have always been a "hard core" exerciser, and even with yoga, I would always feel muscle sore afterwards. Now since I'm pregnant, I shouldn't feel exhausted or tiredness, but I'm just so not used to it.

There were several maternity Yoga vedios these days. I chose this one for my wife bacause It looks like a standard and many sellers sell this one, on the other hand, the majority of pregnant women wants this item based on the best selling item. Actually I didn't see the video yet but my wife do Yoga with this vedio. She said it's fairy well but It doesn't seem to be focused to Yoga beginners who are pregnant women cause it has a lot of difficult positions. I think It's a text book of prenatal Yoga if you are a little familar with Yoga, Otherwise, you can try another basic version for prenatal Yoga. Thanks

  Great Yoga Video

I bought this because there were no prenatal yoga classes in my area. This video was a good yoga video for beginners, although it did have suggestions for ways to deepen the stretches if you were more advanced. I felt great after the workouts.

I like this video to chill, stretch and relax, but it is by no means an effective or difficult workout. Overall, I like it because I am in my third trimester and want to chill, but I would not have enjoyed in earlier in my pregnancy because it is just too easy!

  Prenatal Yoga DVD

It's OK for very slow movements. I would rather have something that challenges me more. It is a little long in length. I didn't feel the benefits the next day. It is probably better for late pregnancy.

  works for me

I take prenatal classes at a local yoga studio, but I just needed something to help me do yoga during the week because I couldn't afford to go to a class more than once a week. This video does the trick for me. I don't love the teacher in the video. I think she is a bit slow, and sometimes it sounds like she just throws is yoga words and phrases that don't fit. The video taught me some tips for a few poses, but it is not very helpful for practicing a tradiational yoag breath because she doesn't remind you to breathe very often in the video. But again, I am getting what I need out of the video. I only do the first two segments because I think the "floor work" segment is stressful on my knees and just uncomfortable all around. The final relaxing segment is just not what I need to start my day. This is a great video if you have $8 to spend and you need a little more yoga in your life.

I thought it would be too easy as it is for preggers but it wasn't! It had just the right amount of difficulty for each trimester.

I love this dvd for the simple ways to stretch at any point in your pregnancy. You feel relaxed and energized all in one after finishing the process. It is a great way to be at peace for 50 minutes...

Nice stretch, but hard to follow
Review created: 05/17/05
by: blusafyre -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Good stretches

Cons:
Hard to follow, instructions frustrating and not corresponding to what you see

This workout video, is very unlike traditional videos in that it's hard to follow. Most workout videos has the instructor verbally walking you through the steps as they're doing it and also adjusts their movements so it's easy to follow, such as when they ask you to turn right, they're actually turning left since you're facing them and your right side is their left side. This video is not like that at all. The video is narrated by voice overs and when they say turn right, they're actually turning right, so it makes it confusing because your eyes are watching them turn to your left. Plus since.
