Practical Magic (1999, DVD)

Practical Magic is one of my all time favorite October movies, that I have watch over and over since 1999. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens (the Owens Sisters) are at their best in this 1999 PG13 Romantic "Witchy" Comedy about a family curse that dooms any man to an untimely death that falls in love with an Owens woman. The supporting cast (Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing as the Owens Aunts), Adrain Quinn as the policeman and Gorman Visnjic as Jimmy) is delightful. It is a fun and amusing movie with a twist of Magic that isn't dark. I very much enjoyed this film and soundtrack. (the Midnight Margarita dance to is great!)

This is a fun romantic movie, it has such an orignal story line. I love to watch it over and over again.

Magical and mysterious somes up this movie. It is one of my favorites. It is a good movie for teens and adults. I would not recomend this movie to young children. This movie is very realistic in parts and leaves on the edge of your seat.....

I love his movie because it is good for all the fam. to see. It also shows you the good and bad parts of life, ups and downs to what choices you make. I use to have this movie and lost it.So I had to get it

It has always been one of my favorite movies. I wanted to own it on DVD instead of VHS, so I bought it.

I had seem Practical Magic before and enjoyed it. It has a good story line. It told about the family history and what they went thur to be where they are today.

super dvd! great chick flick,worth taking time to watch. nice edition to any dvd collection. great flim for everyone. magic,halloween,ect.

I Loved this movie. It was alot of fun to watch. I liked the story and thought the phone tree thing was halarious.

The movie is about witch craft,very funny.. Just sit down with some popcorn and you will enjoy..... Don't forget your broomsticks.....

We don't really like witchcraft so this was VERY unsuitable.

This was better than I expected. My wife and I watched it together and loved it. What do you expect from Bullock and Kidman in 1998? Good stuff. The soundtrack is outstanding to boot. (I had to get it).

this is a wonderful movie, it is a must have for anyones library, especially since sandra bollock is in it. it was listed for a great price, therefore is now mine.

Requested Christmas present from a friend. She loves the movie but couldn't find it anywhere. Ordered it and received it quickly just as the article stated.

A present for my sister. She is mean so maybe this might be good for her! It is a great movie and Sandra Bullock did the best job acting. Nicole was ok too. I will let others know about this service.

I have always loved this movie and wanted to have a copy of it. i could not find it in any stores near my home so i decided to look on ebay, where i knew i would find it because you can find anything on ebay!!! I love it!

it is funny and sad in some parts. i like that she finally gets to find love again and the other witch get her revenge on her boyfriend. the only thing i regret is that it is wide screen maybe should have looked better when buying it should have shoped around for full screen.

I have to admit it, I purchased the movie more for Sandra Bullock than for Nicole Kidman. Ms. Kidman is NOT one of my favorite actresses, but Sandra Bullock is, and the movie piqued my interest.

I found it sad; funny; a touch scary; definitely warning - domestic abuse is there in all its facets, with all the warning signs; heart warming; and enlightening. Most of all, it is a good way to spend a couple of hours and feel good at the end of the time.

The part(s) I dislike about the film are the stereo-typical portrayal of 'witches'. Can't someone please get OFF of the band-wagon and do something a little more original for once? But that is my only real complaint.

It IS what the hard core chest beaters will call a 'chick flick' - no doubt about it. However, that doesn't mean it is a soppy, tear-jerker without a plot or without something to hold a man's interest. There is action and drama, and tension along with moments of sheer terror!

Take a look. You only have a couple of hours to waste, and you just might enjoy yourself!! I did.

i can not rate this dvd because i have yet to recieve it. im also having a diffucult time contacting the seller about this. so as of right know my opinion is limbo!!!!!!!

I love this movie. Great family film. Kinda a chick flick but my husband didn't mind it. It's very cute and family oriented. I watch it a lot.

I seen this movie with my mother. I liked it so much that I decided I needed to have the movie so I could watch it when ever I wanted to.

This movie is truly a movie you can watch again and again. Maybe a chick flick more than a man's film, but it is just a movie that has so much great acting and so many hidden meanings there is simply no time that you feel a scene could be cut out without taking an important part away. Truly wonderful and it is great to watch a movie that imparts such a wonderful spin on life and lets you believe whatever you would like to believe and go away with a good feeling. One of my favorites!
