I like that the internal battery still works, which is hard to find in normal game stores which sell used games

  Pokemon Blue Gameboy

Pokemon Blue, one of the first great Pokemon games for Game boy. You can build your collection, make them strong and then trade with your friends. All of these things make Pokemon one of the most popular games ever made.

The game that took a generation by storm! If you want to see where it all started with Pokemon, then you'll have to buy this game and Pokemon Red!

  One of gameboys finest

I got this game way back when it came out as a gift, and since then I can honestly say that ive never sold it, lost it, or not played it because it was boring or frustrating.

5/5 on fun factor- Great game, doesnt matter if its your first time through or 15th time its still fun. Also its always a great excitment trying to catch all 150 pokemon (151 with mew). You can play against friends very easily also which is great.

4/5 on graphics- Not great now a days, but when it came out it wasnt to bad. Its not to dated because most know what to expect from original gameboy games.

5/5 replay value- Like I stated earlier you can play this game several tiems through. Try different ways, see if you can beat it with only 1 pokemon. It has that rare replay value that the game doesnt really get old ever.

5/5 on Story- The story is good. Its not to complicating. Its mainly you start off with a rival and try to become the best pokemon trainer and capture all the pokemon.

It was my favorite GameBoy game ever! Seller was reputable and did a very good sale. Would recommend to anyone asking for feedback on them! Will buy again from them if anything comes to mind or a friend needs a game title, I will send them them to this dealer, for sure!

  The REAL Pokemon
Review created: 05/03/07
by:

I wanted a GB/GBA game that both my wife & I could play at the same time. I wanted to see what was so great about Pokemon, vs. Dragon Quest Monsters which I had originally bought in lue of this game. I don't like to play games out of order (sequels always assume that you've played their prequels) as it messes up the story.

The interactivity between her Pokemon Red and this one is great. It's very fun to play it and see who get/raises better Pokemon, to trade Pokemon, and to occasionally battle each other. The game is addicting.

Great game for my son and great dealer to deal with. My son really likes it and has played it since he got it. Bad thing is these type of games are getting older and harder to come by.

  Pokemon: Blue Version(Gameboy)(Advance)(SP)
Review created: 12/26/06
by:

This is a great Pokemon game-You get to face 8 gym trainers and get to compete in the Pokemon League-Also, you get(as always) your own Pokemon to start out with and your Pokegear. You will also get the chance to catch all the original 150 Pokemon to train and battle with. Beware of Team Rocket though-You will definitely enjoy all the towns/cities, the shops, people to meet, and most of all, all the Pokemon you'll meet and rivals for life.
I personally believe this would be great for someone who can read and is about ages 8+. It can also play on the original Gameboy, The Gameboy color, Advance, Advance SP, and more.

  Fad or fantastic?
Review created: 02/02/00
by: 32_Footsteps -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Strong game, clean sotryline, good concept, social game

Cons:
Pain to get Mew, doesn't follow the story of the cartoon

Usually, I avoid anything that smacks of being a fad. I never watched an episode of Power Rangers. I never liked Nirvana. And you still can't get me to listen to any of the bubblegum pop on the radio nowadays. But even I have my moments when I succumb. And Pokemon has me, and I don't want it to let go. First, let me describe how I got into it. Just after Christmas of 1998, I was bored, and I needed something to do, since I was visiting my father, and he worked alot. I decided to pick up a Game Boy (hey, they're cheap) and a couple of games to go along with it. When I walked into the store,...

Meet the newest Pokemon: the Cash Cow.
Review created: 09/04/06

Pros:
This is a great take on the standard RPG.

Cons:
The graphics and sounds stink for a game this good.

POKEMON BLUE (Nintendo/Game Freak, 1998) It's Labour Day today and now is a great time to take it easy and let someone else do the work for you. The Pokemon Blue game here is just a small part of the million dollar franchise and it is one game where you sit back and let your cute little monster pets do all the work instead in this unique modern day slavery title. OK, you can throw your balls at something from time to time and hope that it hits something (hopefully Misty) but it is your Pokemon here really doing everything for you: ya lazy human. Now before you dismiss this crazy Pokemon...

  Pokemon Blue-My kid enjoys it!
Review created: 09/18/00
by: AngelaBar -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Excellent ease of navigation, diversity, music

Cons:
Single Player only

My daughter's first gameboy arrived today, along with Pokemon Blue, the first game she has requested. She was absolutely thrilled when she walked in the door and hasn't stopped playing it since! It took seconds to get the game going: simply sliding the cartridge into the Game Boy, slipping in two AA batteries (which came with the Game Boy thankfully or I would have been running to the market for batteries instantly!). She began playing without the use of the Pokemon Trainer's Guide which came with the game because she had played it on friend's units before. When I showed her the manual, she...

Can't catch 'em all with just this
Review created: 03/09/02
by: swanton00 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Much replay value

Cons:
graphics

I never heard of a person that didn't know what Pokemon was. About a year and half ago, the big Pokemon craze ended which lasted about two years. I was one the millions who were hooked on it. The games, the tv show, the figures, the trading card game, I loved it all. I bought Pokemon blue when it was released right before Christmas in 1999. Back then only versions red and blue were out and couldn't be kept in stock at stores. Many people were confused as to what the difference was between the red and blue version. This was basically a way for Nintendo to make more money which I will explain...

Sure it may not be the best, but it's from Nintendo, what do you expect?
Review created: 05/26/01
by: Kanga14 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Original idea, a good starter RPG for young kids, addictive.

Cons:
Storyline is too weak to be considered a real RPG, almost no character development.

Nintendo is usually not a game company for RPGs. There were a few exceptions such as their SNES game 'Super Mario RPG' and maybe a few others. But Nintendo is still mostly famous for their platform games featuring the overweight italian plumber Mario and his skinny brother Luigi. But during the big pokemon craze, Nintendo might have had a new mascot, a yellow mouse pokemon named Pikachu. Sure, the pokemon craze has died down for the most part, but the games still provide the lighthearted fun that most RPGs fail to bring. Catching pokemon is simple enough. You can have up to 6 pokemon in your..
