I rarely give an excellent rating to a dvd or movie, but this series deserves it and we haven't even watched the entire set yet. My wife and I were astounded by the HD clarity, the views/perspectives, details and narration. A dvd like this can only be truly experienced and enjoyed on a big screen HDTV in high definition. I bought a new sony bluray player and have ordered some bluray dvd`s.This one Planet Earth came really fast with super trucking capabilities.Highest recommendations.

never recieved dvd. seller would not return my email. Had to go thru paypal to get my money back. The seller told paypal they would eat the considerable loss to themselves. I have seen planet earth on dvd and think it's some of the best vidio of the planet ever made.

it is the worst blu ray disc ever made in the history of history. i just want to point that out. i would pay somebody just to take the movie out of my possesion.

Nature is so beautiful especially when you see this on bluray at 1080.
After i seen it advertise on tv i wanted it.

Plenty of material & impressive, awing scenes. I love the sound quality. the creatures' sounds sometimes scares the kids :) You won't regret this buy if you grew up watching this type of stuff; its good enough to entertain the family or just yourself. It'd be nice if there were multiple language options (subtitles are available). Menu & options seem a bit too simple & basic, but as far as the material goes, it's impressive.

Simply put, I purchased Planet Earth because of the price. I was eyeballing this movie set for months, but the price tag would scare me away. I found this item for nearly half of the retail $, & there were no drawbacks whatsoever. Item as described, brand new, factory sealed, no damage, fast shipment.

This 4 disc set is THE reference quality DVD for the Blu Ray DVD media. Every household that owns a Blu Ray player should own this set.

Outstanding cinematography, which is spectacular when viewed in the Blu-ray format.
The production team went to the far ends of the Earth to assemble the footage, and the results were nonething less than incredible. This is one series that is simply mesmerizing, and let's you realize that the Earth is full of life in parts of the world that you just wouldn't think. Five out of 5 stars.

This is the ultimate high definition DVD. We watched it on television on regular cable, and now having upgraded to HD service, the picture is just phenomenal. It captures the Earth in such an amazing way. If you want a high definition DVD that you want to wow your friends with, then Planet Earth is the one to get.
