Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl shows one of the best sides of Johnny Depp. I couldn't believe Disney made such a great movie. The visual effects is amazing and the cast is perfect. As always Disney comes out with a great plot and incredible storytelling abilities. This has it all, great comedy, great action, and romance that people will love. Johnny Depp as Cap'n Jack Sparrow is perfect. He plays the part extremely well. There is nothing that I don't like about this movie. It's worth buying even if you hate Disney, the movie have very high replay value.

I love the movie, and have seen it several times. Hence, my desire to purchase my own copy. I watch snippets of the movie, when there is nothing worth watching on television. Nothing better than watching Captain Jack Sparrow running, with his arms waving madly, instead of a bizarre reality TV show. Besides, if I ever run into my own pirate ... I am headed out to sea!
Great movie, fun to watch over and over. The subtle and obvious humor is worth having the movie next to my VCR at all times!

If you haven't seen this movie yet, boy are you ever missing out!
I absolutely loved this movie, I just had to add it to my collection. The plot, characters, and special effects are all wonderfully done.
Both Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are at their best in this film. And they look dashing in their costumes, if I may say so :)
This is a movie you can watch again and again. Go out and get yours today!

Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the black pearlA great family movie and one I will keep in my library for fun and thrilling adventure. The costume design was great. We are going to have a Venetian boat parade and will use the pirates of the Caribbean as our theme. Keep up the good work for family movies.

Yeah. I know. We need another review of this movie like we need that insidious bottom line. Tough. I loved Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and can hold back writing a review no longer. This one will absolutely end up on my best of 2003 list when it comes time to write that. Tis about a treasure, ye see...and pirates, and a maiden who needs rescued. Jack Sparrow is a bumbling fool of a pirate who used to captain the Black Pearl (the most dreaded pirate ship to ever sail the seas). The ship got hi-jacked by his first mate (damned pirates! Just can't trust em!) and then became.

While I selected "reveals major details about the movie's plot" I don't think I say anything you don't catch from the previews; and even if I do - well there is nothing new to the story here. Wednesday hubby asked me if I wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I told him no, not really as I had little to no desire to see it. It looked like it could be seriously cheesy to me. So hubby made plans to see it that evening with his friends. Their plans fell through and he was disappointed yet knew he'd catch it in theaters soon enough. Today hubby asks me if I want to.

I confess, despite the ridicule of my family and friends and the scorn of my own intellectualism, I am an Orlando Bloom shipper at heart. But I went to see this movie mostly because of the terrific action and adventure it promised, and I certainly got that and much more! There has been a shortage of great, classic adventure movies lately, and Pirates of the Caribbean definitely falls in this category. Not long after that, I started to see previews for the movie and I decided that I wanted to see it. I ve seen some other pirate movies, like Treasure Planet, that I enjoyed.
