Pieces of You - Jewel (CD 1995)

All of the the songs on this album are great. Not reccomended for kids. Track 2 has some violent, sexual ,strong dialouge & language in it. She's a great artist, if you're over the age of 18, get it!

This CD is great to relax to. Jewels songs are calming and despite her yodeling, her voice is quite listen-able to.

For the most part, it's just Jewel and her guitar, and I like it that way for this album. This album is fun, playful, and sometime quite deep and involving. She's not the best guitarist on the planet, but it's genuine, and more importantly her voice is breathtaking!

This CD was shipped fast and just as descriped. I am very satisfied with this transaction. Easy to work with 2.

I have almost all of her cd's it has taken this long to get the 2 my ex best friend decided to steal them from me but the 2 I have are wonderful there is nothing to complain about . just A+++++++++++++++++++

I'm not big into female vocals, but I love this woman.
I used to put this album on repeat when I would write short stories in Denver, my creativity would flow like a river.. Maybe it was just the soothing nature of the music & vocals.. but anyhow, you can't go wrong with this one, every song feels more like a poem, and you can tell the words come straight from her heart.

I'm afraid I have to agree with the review from bigdogdaddog who wrote: "I DID NOT like this CD!! There was only one good song on the whole CD. A couple of the other songs were too suggestive and the rest of the songs were just stupid. Jewel has a good voice but the CD was terrible." I love Jewel's voice she is one of my all time favs, however, this CD was disappointing.
Thankfully, I didn't pay a whole lot for it.

Tell you the truth,I'm not up on 90's or current music.I follow Professional Bull Riding and she goes with the Great Ty Murray,King of the Cowboys who is a commentator on the broadcasts.I heard her sing and became an instant fan.Great CD!

With the prices of gas and new goods the best way to buy is through ebay. It can be done fron the comforts of home. There are always good deals.

The product was shipped promptly and was in great shape. I loved this CD and had lost my original, I wanted to get another one back.

I decided to buy it because i had previously owned the CD and i had lost it when i moved and i saw it on ebay for a good price (the first thing i bought on Ebay) and i recived it about 2-4 business day's later and the case was broken but the CD itself was Perfect ! I LOVE my purchase !

Pieces Of You is Jewel just being herself and doing the songs that she does best. Several tracks were recorded live and even the ones that are studio tracks have a live acoustic feel to them. The lyrics are all poetic (though sometimes naive)and thoughtful and they fit the folk feel of the music perfectly. 5 Stars.

I REMEBER LISTENING TO THIS WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED JEWEL AND AT THE PRICE I COULDN'T PASS IT UP. FINDING THINGS ON EBAY HAS GOTTEN EASIER AND I REALLY ENJOY FINDING NEW THINGS.

It is needless to say that Jewel has a beautiful voice. This cd is one of many that I have played so much it is scratched badly. This cd has a variety of songs and each of them are great. I bought the cd for 2 songs and ended up singing along to every one of them. The words to the songs are very deep and some of them make you want to cry.

I would say that this cd is a must have in any one's collection. I even know a few men that have it. Although my husband hates it, but that is because any time it is on I sing like crazy to it. And once I start, I can't stop until the song is over.

I love Jewel and have all her CDs. I only had Pieces of You on cassette tape though so I wanted to get it on CD without paying full price for it again, this is why I bought it off ebay. This was her first CD, but has some of her best songs on it.

I bought this cd for my daughter because there is one song that she absolutely loves and this was a used cd in great condition.

This is an EARLY Jewel CD and I did not know it because I'm an idiot with music. Many of the Jewel favorite tunes are on the CD but they are performed and arranged much differently.

This disc has a mix of GREAT songs with so so ones. I love jewel but can't listen to every song on here, just a few do I really love.

Jewel is one of my favourite female artist, I love almost all of her songs...This CD I love it especially for Foolish Games and Who Will Save Your Soul...

Foolish Games - one of the most romantic songs ever composed...I adore Jewel's simplicity and tenderness...and "foolishness"...so sweet the song...and so sad...It's one of those "killing you softly" songs...:)

Who Will Save Your Soul I've seen it performed also in duet with Jesica Simpson...Jesica looks better, but Jewel is sweeter...Jesica is smart, but Jewel is smarter...Jesica is a real profesional artist, Jewel sings from the heart...Jesica really knows how to make money, Jewel is more interested in sending EDUCATIVE messages through her MUSIC...Jesica has a lot of fans, but Jewel's music CAN CHANGE THE WORLD! IN BETTER!

If you know Jewel, it's probably because of this CD. There's a reason for that! All of the songs tell a story, impressive for an artist's first CD. Jewel's voice is soothing yet haunting on this album, revealing a personal part of herself. Love, love, LOVE this CD, and if you like "girly" music at all, you will too!
