The best of their albums in my opinion. They do hard rock as well as "country-like" tunes. It's Led Zeppelin. I need not say more.

Physical Graffiti - This is a double CD that is well worth the money. Every song of this album is great. Very few CD's can say that, even when you really like the band. If you are a fan of bluesy rock, this album is for you.

it`s ok cd bought the NewPhone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

Physical Graffiti [Remaster] - Led Zeppelin (CD 1994)

PG is the classic example of a double album that should have been a single album. Kashmir, In the Light, and Ten Years Gone maintain LZ's tradition of creative hard rock. However, there is way too much mindless hard rock filler. In My Time of Dying must have been stretched out just to fill up an album side -- listening to it is like a long, painful death. Since less is more, PG could have been a five star but I can only give it four.

 Probably Page's Best Work
Review created: 07/04/07

This double album actually warranted being issued as a double album. No filler here! The band was in top form. The rhythm section of Bonham and Jones was swinging for the fences, Plant's banshee wail hadn't faded at the high end yet, and Page showed a mastery of his Gibson that mere mortals are not capable of. "Down By The Seaside" is a great example of a Zep song that just doesn't get the airplay it deserves. The shimmering liquidity of the guitar work on this track is probably one of the greatest examples of an instrument representing water ever laid down in a studio. The epic drone and Middle Eastern flavor of "Kashmir" needs no comment. "Night Flight" and "Boogie With Stu" are typical of Zeppelin in that they aren't like anything any other band at the time dared to put out. If you wish to introduce someone to the grand majesty of Led Zeppelin, this is a great place to start. Not a single dud, hard rockin' tracks, and some of their mellower material as well. It really shows the great versatility these rock gods possessed in their collective abilities. In my opinion, it is a better album for the beginning Led Zeppelin fan than their unnamed fourth album (Zoso) if only because they will probably not be as familiar with every track and the quality of the music is much more representative of their total career output. Enjoy!

 ZEPPELIN'S FINEST MOMENT

No doubt about it, Led Zeppelin's "Physical Graffiti" finds that band at the absolute pinnacle of their artistic and creative prowess. From the dramatic guitar riff on the ablum's opening cut (Custard Pie) to the bluesy metal drone of the the last track (Sick Again), Zeppelin's sonic capabilities were (and remain) unmatched.
Standout tracks: The Rover, Kashmir, Ten Years Gone, Sick Again.

This is the most balanced, but yet the heaviest Zep album produced. The first cd is heavy, and the second is almost like a progressive album, awsome!

 Zeppelin's top album

This my my favorite Led Zeppelin album. I just listened to it on a road trip to LA and realized how much I love it. You'll hear a number of classic Zep tunes on this album that never get much air time, including Down By The Seaside and The Rover. Led Zeppelin II is close, but Physical Graffiti is incredible.

 Led Zeppelin--Past, Present And Future
Review created: 12/30/01
by: sparkospunky -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Emphasizes influences, both past and future

Cons:
Can't think of a single one

I've always regarded Physical Graffiti as a sort of a watershed album in the Led Zeppelin catalogue--this album serves as a sort of exclamation point to their first five albums, and gives us the first inkling of the diverse musical directions that the band would take over the next few years. Led Zeppelin pays homage to the blues and rock 'n roll styles that got them here, and Jimmy Page's acoustic work is also present, but the themes of the future influences show up here too--the music of the Middle East had a profound influence on this band, and the way that they blended this style of music..

 Led Zeppelin Gets Physical
Review created: 01/16/07
by: Pantagruel-- a member of Epinions and Top Reviewer in Music

Pros:
two discs' worth of Led Zeppelin

Cons:
a bit of filler on the second disc

Despite its double disc length, I find Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti to be remarkably consistent, which is saying something considering that half of this album was comprised of previously unreleased material that had not been deemed good enough for inclusion on earlier albums. The rest of the songs were recorded in the mid-'70s, an era when the temptation to do out-and-out bombast must have been strong. After all, Led Zeppelin really had nothing to prove. Commercially successful from the get-go and critically accepted since their seminal fourth album, they could have easily mailed this one.

Custard pie-eyed and roving rather quickly from the summit of success
Review created: 09/08/07
by: pyfr-- a member of Epinions and Top Reviewer in Music

Pros:
Kashmir, Trampled Under Foot, Houses Of The Holy. When mighty, step aside.

Cons:
Their lyrics were getting less profound. Mucho filler. Plant's voice starting to slightly falter.

Massively successful 1974 double album from the Gods of Rock, some of which was recorded as early as 1970. While Physical Graffiti contains a few of their best-known numbers (Kashmir, Trampled Under Foot), it s also absolutely weighted down with several of the most forgettable tunes in the entire Zeppelin oeuvre (for the life of me, I can hardly ever remember how Night Flight goes). One of my least favorite Zeppelin numbers ever, the eleven minute plus blues nightmare known as In My Time Of Dying, sits like a lump of snot in the middle of side one. Sorry if you were in the middle of eating...

Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti: Their Last Five Star Album
Review created: 01/22/06
by: MattA75 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
varied, improved songwriting, the contributions from every member of the band

Cons:
none

For all Led Zeppelin had accomplished as a band in 1974, perhaps their greatest accomplishment laid ahead. As 1974 opened, the band were busy with sessions for the follow up to Houses of the Holy, and it was looking to be their most ambitious album yet. Physical Graffiti, which sat on the shelf for over six months after recording and mixing had been completed, was a double album comprised of sessions from late 1973, early 1974, and a handful of previously unreleased outtakes. The first disc is anchored by two of the greatest epics in Zeppelin's catalog, which is obviously saying quite a bit...

Led Zeppelin Reaches the Apogee of Its Flight: Redsox75 s 100th CD Review

Led Zeppelin Reaches the Apogee of Its Flight: Redsox75 s 100th CD Review It has been nearly 4 years since I started on this site. Half of these CD reviews were written within the first year. Hopefully if you go back and read my early reviews you will see that I have improved. I have kept at it though, slowly but surely. When I sat down to write a review today, I thought of this album as one I should review for any new Zeppelin fans out there. Since the almighty and powerful Zeppelin is where my intense musical interest really started, I thought it appropriate to bore you for awhile with my...
