I purchased this system (to be used with my IPAQ 1945 bluetooth PDA) so I would not get lost on business trips.
I've used it probably a dozen times or more and find it really is VERY accurate (though the routes it suggests might not always be the best...MAPQUEST does it better). The mounting for the PDA is challenging to use, but once set-up works fine.
The bluetooth feature is what sold me on this. The mapping software is fairly simple to use, but it does require a fast processor in the PDA to be most useful. Also, make sure you copy the maps over to the internal memory (rather than a memory card - it crashes/locks too frequently otherwise).
A nice device to have if you travel a lot to unknown locations.

Pros: -Comprehensive maps.
-Comes with a car mount and a charging system
Cons: -GPS Unit distracting
-voice directions - poor quality.
-Poor Installation instructions.
-cannot store remote waypoints.
I bought this unit because it was sold in a local store and I wanted to ensure it had effective Canada maps for my area before I committed my $500 Canadian. Pros: lightweight, looks nice
Cons: BAD BUNDLED SOFTWARE !!!
I am using Pharos Bluetooth GPS for almost a year * Hardware: During my year period I had to send the unit to fix (the hardware is it not much of a shock proof). Pharos fixed it with no questions asked and paid for the return shipping. While driving at night you may find the light in the front of the unit a little bit distracting - you can turn the illuminating side towards the front glass (I admit this is not elegant). I had no problems with the reliability of the hardware, it is fairly good. * Software ONE OF THE WORST I HAVE SEEN !!! Pharos will let you download software updates, but still.
