I loved Petes Dragon as a kid and you just dont see very much about it anymore. I have created a memory box of my favorite things that I can pass down my family line. I just had to have it. Thank you so much.
We have watched the VHS tape several times, and although there are a couple of rough spots, it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the movie. We've been wishing for a copy of this movie for a while and when we finally got it, we let our grand-daughter watch it and she has been very pleased with it. I'm sure our grand-son will be watching it plenty when he gets a couple of years older. Thanks for a good product! Bill Byars, Lubbock, TX
This movie has been one of my favorites for so many years. I bought it because I work in a classroom with students that enjoy movies with singing and this one has become a big hit with them as well. Great movie I think for all ages.
What can only be described as a beloved classic, this is a delightful story about a boy and his imaginary dragon. I'm not sure the kids of today would be wowed by it but for those of us who grew up with it, it is great. There are kinda cheesy imaging, but keep in mind back then we didn't have computer generators and such. Touching story, good moral.
We have been looking for Pete's Dragon for a while now. Thanks to e-bay we finally this video in our collection. The children love Pete's Dragon. The video was sent out immediately. Thanks
I love Pete's Dragon and I've been looking for it for a long time. But everytime I come across it is out of my price range...$30 or $40. Way too much. I bought my movie for less than $10 and it was in great condition. Thanx ebay!
when i was a kid i remember watching this movie and remember how much i had enjoyed it couldnt find it anywhere in the stores.i thought about how much my children would like watchingthis movie so i purchased it on ebay recieved it quick in the maile, the children just love the movie.
Great communication, shipping, and product. Highly recommend........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
This was one of my youngest son's favorites as a child. I wnated his children to experience the same joy my son did when he saw this movie. They loved it! Especially my 4 year old grandson. Thanks for the memories!
This movie is so boring and misleading. You would think that the movie would show alot of the dragon, but the dragon is hardly even on screen. I bought this for my 3 yr old grandson. He was so bored he walked away from the TV. The movie has so many long singing scenes with old people that just will not hold the interest of children at any age. I do not recommend this movie.
I bought this movie for my friends' little sister because she could no longer find it in the stores. I have been told that it works just fine and her little sister loves it. The only thing I noticed was that the movie case was a little beat up, but otherwise no problems.
Pete's Dragon is the story of a boy who doesn't have a real home and the dragon who loves him. The film is live action and animation seemlessly put together. The songs are catchy and easy to sing along to. The orphan boy finally finds a home with someone to love him in the end after showing what it is like for him before he finds Lampy and Nora.
I didn't particularly care for the shady quack that is supposed to be a doctor but I understand that Disney included it for comedic purposes. Additionally, one of the charcters is an alcoholic and that is handled with a comedic flair as well. Over all though I loved this movie as a child and I believed my students would like it as well. I believe the music, story, and the animation have all held up very well with time and my kids are really enjoying it! I think it is very hard to go wrong with Disney. :) I still love it. :)

My Love for Elliott Will Always Burn

Pros: magical story, seemless integration of animation and live action, some marvelous songs
Cons: a few mediocre songs, no commentary track on the DVD
Several times my father has told me that he used to love taking me to the movies when I was little because I took him to better movies than my mother did. I don't know if that's true, but I certainly have wonderful memories of sitting next to dad, holding his hand while the whale ate Pinocchio and while the witch gave Snow White that poisoned apple. As I got older we sat together watching James Bond - our first was Octopussy - and Indiana Jones. When I was in college we even saw Beauty and the Beast together for old times sake, and a year and a half ago we saw Tomorrow Never Dies. When my dad.

The Best Movie of All Time: My Kids Favorite Media W/O entry

Pros: The pros are really indescribable in less than 15 words.
Cons: None.
Pete's Dragon is a movie set in turn of the century Maine. The costumes are very relevant to the time period as is everything about this movie. One other thing I liked was that being not far from where I lived when I was in high school, Cape Cod, there were some places from Cape Cod mentioned like Buzzards Bay. The movie opens with Pete escaping from the hillbilly family that bought him, the Gogans. They bought him from an orphanage to be a slave on their farm in the hills. Pete makes it away from the Gogans with the help of his dragon, Elliot. Now no one can see the dragon except for Pete,...

Pros: The perfect cast and fun songs make for a great film
Cons: None I can see
Growing up, my brother and I often had a hard time finding a movie we'd both agree to watch. There were a few, however, we'd almost always agree upon. One such movie was this Disney musical. And I find I enjoy it just as much today as I did growing up. Pete (Sean Marshall) is a poor orphan. He's been adopted by the mean Gogan family run by the matriarch Lena (Shelley Winters). The Gogans make him work from morning til night and beat him for the slightest thing. So, naturally, he runs away. He's tried it before and been caught, but this time he has help in the form of Elliot. Elliot is a...

"I Love You, Too"

Pros: touching story, great songs
Cons: I wish Elliot existed!
This is one of many live action Disney movies employing the tactic of mixing animated characters with real actors. "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" and "Mary Poppins" each have a scene in a magical land in which the main characters are the only ones who aren't cartoons. In "Pete's Dragon," Elliot the dragon is the only animated character, but he appears throughout the whole movie. He also disappears. At many points in the movie all we see of him is the havoc that he wreaks. I don't know which came first, "Pete's Dragon" or the song "Puff, the Magic Dragon," but both are based on the same basic...

After all these years!

Pros: The music is wonderful!
Cons: a scary part or two
Pete's Dragon came out when I was just a kid and was my favorite movie then. After I started having children, I decided to start buying children's movies that I had enjoyed for my children. I sat there transfixed by it. Even after all these years, I still cried and laughed at all the same spots. My boys were totally taken in by Elliot, the dragon. My youngest son was a bit scared by the capture scene, but soon realized that good overcomes evil and cheered! It was the neatest thing to see that he felt Pete's love for Elliot! My oldest son, 6 at the time, said that he wished he could send...
