The sound is superb! The instruments are clear and the overall sound has a very "warm" feeling. It's not super loud like current remasters and it's one of those essential albums to boot. The only part that has room for improvement is the artwork. It looks like an amateur scan. It's the music that matters though, so it's just a minor gripe. This is a limited edition (I heard 5000), MFSL 30th anniversary vinyl replica packaging, and they seem to be pretty hard to find, so if you see one, get it!
I have had the vinyl version since the early 80's,and it's long ago worn out.I saw the great deal on ebay and had to have it. One of the cleanest used CD's I have found.
