Provocative subject matter, typical Sondheim intelligence in lyrics, very lush music

You really need to SEE this show to get the most from it...
People tend to either love Stephen Sondheim's music or hate it. I'm firmly in the former camp; I consider much of what I write (in the show genre, anyway) to be very Sondheim-esque. What puts many people off, however, is that Sondheim always asks you to THINK at his shows, and this does not always go over well with an audience more accustomed to, "Brang on them dancin' girls!!!" Passion is certainly no exception in this regard, raising questions about the true nature of love, where one draws the line between love and obsession, whether someone really can be FORCED to love someone else, and...
