Paperboy was my favorite video game when I was growing up, so when I found it on ebay I just had to put in a bid...and when I won I was ecstatic! I've had no problems with the game. It arrived quickly, played with no problem, and brought back a lot of memories for my sister and I!

  It's Paperboy Alright

I don't really have much to say about this game. It's Paperboy.

If you haven't played it, here's how the game runs down. You have a certain delivery route you must follow and deliver papers to. A safe delivery will keep your customer, but if you break a window, or cause damage you will lose your customer. Continue until you lose all your customers.

The game goes at an angle scrolling up as you drive past each neighborhood. There is a gap between each set of houses and at the end you get a small stunt course to rack up points before the end of that level.

It's a fun diversion game, but doesn't really have any long lasting appeal. Like I said, it's Paperboy.

Same old subscription with some new headlines
Review created: 12/12/02

Pros:
Hilarious high jinks, well-done animations

Cons:
Repetitive subscribers, generic feeling, shallow gameplay, difficult to master

Anyone whose played the original Paperboy should already know what the objective is. You are a Paperboy or Girl, simple enough, who must deliever papers to the subscribers and avoid the rather dangerous non-subscribers. Easy as it sounds, Paperboy always meant to be a rather challenging game with a simple premise. In Paperboy 2, you'll pretty much do very much of the same redundant tasks, but somehow, developer Mindscape managed to spruce up a once seemingly bland title into somewhat of a decent follow-up for the Super Nintendo. Although looking painfully generic on the front ends, Paperboy 2.
