Palm Z22

i love it for it's simplicity, size, color screen and more. very very easy to use. brainless software. updates are a snap and there are a lot of extra inexpensive software functions that you can load up to make it do even more things!

I use the Palm z-22 for a basic calendar. The Graffiti is a little more difficult than my old III-c was, however, the virtual keyboard is easy enough to access.
Because my prime use for this device is a portable E-book library, I love the backlit color screen and the FAST (compared to IIIC) USB interface to upload books to the unit.
The 32 Mbyte RAM in the unit allows me to carry around a fairly extensive library of books at all times, in my shirt pocket.
My only issue was the fact the unit had it's "face" open to the world. I fixed that by purchasing an aluminum case for the unit - about $20.00 from an E-bay store.
With the protection of it's metal housing, my Palm Z-22 goes everywhere I go!
I am seriously looking at purchasing a second one, and storing it for when this one eventually dies - I like it that much!

Product as good or better than stated, works great packaged very good. Product arrived in a timely manner. Everything went smoothly.

I love this little PDA. It is very easy to use, and the software available for the PalmOS is extensive.

It does not have many of the advanced features that others may be looking for like WiFi, Bluetooth, audio recording, ect, but it is very simplistic, and preforms well for what I need to use it for (Contacts, Planner, light games, quick notes, e-book reading).

If you are looking for a modern PDA this is not it, but if you just want something small and easy to play around with this is a good choice.

This device is simple and works well. The built-in Addit programs are great! I can beam things like appointments, pictures and contacts directly to the Z22 perfectly. I was amazed at how compatible it was.

New condition and is a great deal. Only used little bit.....great deal I love to buy on ebay and never been disapointed Great Great Great

The Z22 is not exandable, nor wifi, nor mp3-ready. But at $40 used, it's got a lot of bang 4 the buck. Esp. easy to download the 1000's of custom/free/shareware apps. Wife likes the med/Rx dictionary, and I'm currently addicted to the chess app.

Replacing a Plam Vx I got back in 2000 (for 250.00 I think) this little guy is a great value and does everythig I need it to do - date and number book. Small enough to tote, great color screen, easy to use while on the go!!

It arrived quickly, and it works GREAT! I keep up with all my appointments and know when I can schedule something without conflict. I love that I can do it through my computer too.

Fits in the “Palm” of Your Hand

Being a college student, or any student for that matter, is not an easy task. The appointments, lectures, dinner dates, and movie nights are quite important, but sometimes difficult to remember. This is where the Palm® Z22 handheld comes in. I was actually participating in a study in the Psychology Department of my school. They gave me this device and asked me to use it to answer a set of question pre-programmed into the handheld. I had to answer these questions five times a day for two weeks, but I found that this device was very nice and convenient.

o Memory: I have to let everyone know that with my busy schedule, this is a perfect device for my lifestyle. With a memory of 32MB with 20MB accessible to user, I am able to set appointments, store photos, and make notes to myself over and over again.
• Cut and Dry: The Best Parts
o Size: I have to admit that when I first received this handheld, I was a bit anxious because I did not know how I was going to be able to keep up with this, but I quickly realized that with dimensions of 2.7” x 4.06” x .6” and weight of 3.4 ounces, I could easily slip it in my pack pocket and feel comfortable.
o Battery: The batter is rechargeable and is relatively good at having a long-life tendency.
o Never Again…Will you have your information destroyed. You can store as much as you want in this device, and if the battery were to die, your information would still be there, safe and sound and secure.

I love the palm. It does everything I need it to and much more that I don't know about yet. If you're looking for a way to sink up your Outlook schedule with - I suggest this product.

I decided to buy this item because it is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, simple in design and seemed to suit my needs (I don't need bells and whistles). It seemed to work for a while, but two problems manifested themselves that, upon more research, I found out are common. First, it froze at odd times and had to be reset. Second and worse, the screen is often unresponsive to stylus taps. I would have lived with these issues, but then the fatal problem began--during this summer the unit absorbed humidity internally. Eventually, water condensation under the glass shorted out everything and the unit died. I did not use or store the unit in any unusual way; surely, a Palm Pilot should be designed to resist ordinary humidity, and the ones I had in the past did. In short, avoid this product.

Well, this isn't going to be as good of a review as some would like, but it is the truth. I bought the Palm Z22 tried to use it by entering my info in it and I had trouble w/it. I'm sure that it was just me so I sold it back on eBay to someone else because I wasn't using it. I since have bought a New Palm Tungsten E2, I haven't gotten it yet but am very much looking forward to getting it. If I don't like this then I will put it on eBay as well and just get me a cell phone that is a PDA too.

Perfect for a first time user. Long life battery and tons of memory. I'm a very busy single parent and this is helping me stay focused and organized.

I bought the Z22 because my old palm was not working properly. I love the Z22. It is a great size, great price and has everyhting I need in it. I couldn't ask for more.

It does simplify my life by having all the information I have on my outlook calendar ,contacts, buisness dealings, in my pocket. The more one uses this machine, it becomes indespensable to an old man who's memory is kinda fried.
My only complaint is sometimes in the sunlight it is a little hard to veiw.
Also it would be nice not to have to charge it every night. What am I supposed to do when I go camping?

I started w/ the Palm IIIe, in 1999, my brother gave it to me. I've kept it all this time. I just finally gave in and ordered this, wanting to be up to date looking. And have a better ability to write, & do things. I find this is harder to do graffitti, and it just is almost impossible for the darn thing to feel the stylus, so I have to enter the letters over &over. I've gone back to my '99 Palm, and I'm using it again. It's pathetic in my opinion , that after all this time, the graffitti is worse, and harder to write! The options are a little better, but I just have to relearn it, which I did, and if the graffitti had beeen easier to enter, I may be using it more. But it's really sad that I paid that much $ for something that's really NOT improved, and worse than I already have. Yes it has color, my old one doesn't. My old one works, still.

I was new & didn't realize there would be no paperwork, just the palm.I paid 9.99 for prority mail & it took 6 days to get here (W.V ) from Fla. I needed to get a power source for it & by the time I got it a month had passed.I charged the Palm & the screen is all messed up & useless. It was susposed to be refurbished & in NEW working order. I am not happy but I figured It is a learning experience.

So deaply sorry, but yes I love the product. THANK YOU! Very useful and handy at all times. Especially when you have such a busy life.

Has all the functionality in my old much more expensive version plus ability to store photos. Easy to use and acquired for much less than retail!

I bought this to replace an old Palm Zire that I had misplaced. This is a great upgrade from the Zire. It is smaller and the color screen is much easier to read. It also has the added benefit of more memory. Loading was easy, just used my previously saved configuration on the Palm One software on my desktop. There are not alot of bells and whistles, but that is exactly what I was looking for.

This little gadget is a second brain for me. All dyslexic ADDers like me should be gifted with one at birth, or at least when we enter school. It remembers everything I ask it to, and beeps at me minutes, hours or days before for as a reminder. There are several ways to enter info that I need to remember, all organized and up and running for me: calendar with everything and anything I want to add dated and alarmed to remind me, contacts, shopping lists, tasks (dated and alarmed if I choose.)
I knew I needed a palm pilot when I used an earlier model at my job. So much info in one place! When I looked into it, they seemed way too expensive. Then someone brought Z22 to my attention. Wow. On ebay I paid half the already inexpensive price.
My only concern for other users is how confusing it can be to remember where and how to access info sometimes, but with patience anyone can learn to use it and the assistance it can provide is invaluable.

The Palm Z22 is a simple yet powerful PDA... Low in cost but big on features. The color screen is a blessing for anyone with aging eye sight. Short and simple... You can not go wrong with this piece of daily tech.

This was a Christmas gift for my future daughter-in-law. She has set it up and is lovong it. It does so much more than my Palm Zire that I am jealous. It is easy to work, easy to edit and add what you want to put in. No problems here and don't hesitate if your looking at one to buy.
