Palm Treo 650

The Palm Treo 650 is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. This tiny device is like carrying a computer around in your pocket! You can use it to communicate obviously, as it is a cell phone. But, there is a whole lot more potential for this PDA phone if you use it right. If you get high volumes of daily email like me, you'll love the Versamail feature which lets you stay on top of your email messages by having them come straight to your handset. You can even configure VersaMail so that it will also be setup to leave a copy of the message on your POP email server so that it will also be sent to your PC or laptop. I can't say how nice it is to have the luxury of coming home from a long day of class and not have to sit through 65 emails that came throughout the course of the entire day - because I can actually read them as they come in right on my cell phone.

My second favorite feature about this phone is the web browsing capabilities. I consider myself to be very computer savvy, and the browser on this PDA is so easy that nearly anyone could use it. The browser is more powerful than any other cell phone browser I've ever seen and I actually tested several while I was shopping. I run a few websites and an internet business and I have 2 laptops and a home office with a desktop and the web browser on my PDA actually loads web pages FASTER than the older laptop I have which has a Pentium processor...

The name Palm also brings a high amount of respectability as it is a very reputable company. On top of the awesome email options and web browsing capabilites - this phone is also a Palm organizer. Update your contacts on the go, input your appointments, update your schedule - and when you get home perform a "HotSync" and all of the info you inputted while out running around is automatically updated on the Palm desktop software. Even more conviently, you can enter info on your computer and during the next HotSync it will be updated on your Treo!

I can't recommend one of these phones highly enough. The price is even coming down to a point where it's very reasonable and comparable to several other phones with far less features. The only thing I will mention for you to consider is this:

You will have to purchase a data plan in addition to your calling plan in order to be able to browse the internet. You should expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $80 to $110 per month for your cell phone bill from whatever service provider you might choose.

If the price tag fits into your budget and you need an all in one communications and organization device than Palm Treo 650 is exactly what you've been waiting for - I couldn't even try to give you a rundown of every little feature because there's just too many! I've had mine for a few months and still learn some new capability everyday... and I almost forgot - it's a digital camera to boot!

ok this is a office machine who needs a blackberry when you can do anything you can on your laptop in the palm of your hand!!!!!! downfalls a couple one the bluetooth and audie quality are a little less than perfect yet they are managable because it is always a pda then a phone ..
