Great newer WesternGreat Movie!!! The story line is solide enough to keep the guys watching the action but have the story line for the ladies. Just make sure you get a good copy. Mine skipped about 4 different times.

OPEN RANGEI bought this item for my Father because it's his favorite movie and had a hard time finding in in stores so I decided to try EBAY and sure enough there it was actually a no brainer I love it that I was able to find it and surprise my dad.

Open Range - Realistic Western MovieIf you like traditional Hollywood Westerns, you might not be impressed with Open Range. But if you want to see a movie that is what the West was REALLY like, you'll love it. I know I do. It is one of those movies that you can watch over and over and not get bored with it. No phoney gunfights or the like - just a true account of the free-grazing days that followed the Civil War. Duvall and Costner are perfectly cast as Boss and hired-man Charlie. Both are men of few words that simply take care of business. They don't seek revenge - just the reckoning for wrong actions.
Movies by their very nature are meant to entertain. Realistic entertainment is the pinnacle of movie-making. Open Range sits at that pinnacle.

Open Range is a must seeThis movie is one that you will watch over and over again. Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall are awesome, not a boring minute in the movie. Beautiful scenery, lots of action, a Great Western movie. I wished the movie would never end I enjoyed it so much.

Open Range DVDIf you love westerns, you will love this one. The extra material in this DVD is as note worthy as the movie is. I would easily rate this as one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, 4 Stars!

Robert Duvall is always the best in his cowboy roles. I could watch him relentlessly. Annette Benning shines in this movie as well. kevin Costner, while definitely not one of my favorites, doesn't really spoil the ride. Am I alone when I say I wish the ole cowboy genre would come galloping around more! great flick...very entertaining! LOVE IT!

I Loved This Movie In The Movie Theater! I Have A Big Screen HDTV with a Great Pioneer suround sound system. I Love Westerns and this one is Totaly Awsome!! Gun Shooting in this film sounds so real to! I collect DVDs.

I tried to find this DVD for my Father at numerous stores and other online DVD stores. This was the first place I found it, not only at a GREAT PRICE, but BRAND NEW as well. I had the DVD in my hands in no time at all and will return to this seller for future purchases.

It was a good price. My husband saw the movie and really liked it. I bought it used. The sellers guaranteed it and I was not disappointed. It was in excellent shape. We were very happy. Fast delivery too!

The life of Free GRazing was the cowpunchers and ranchers way of life on the way to market with herds. Local land barons who built towns with heir money and thought they owned everything in them as well as the people, were slowly dieing out, when right versus the law came to an abrupt meeting. And this story is the same.A land baron had the cowpunchers cook and a 16 yr old boy beat up killed and shot.Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall chase the local sheriff and the baron into a corner.A gunfighter with a tendency to shoot first then ask questions runs into a cowpuncher with a past.His past included far more than the gunfighter thought or the local baron.It seems the cowpuncher was trying to leave his past in the shadows, but the baron and the gunfighter brought them back out of the past to find that he was more dubious of situations and knew how to get out of these situations than they ever thought possible. Kevin Costner is the cowpuncher, Robert Duvall is the Rancher, and Annette Benning is the Doctors aide and sister.
A great family film plus romance for the ladies. Some sad scenes, beautiful scenery. Filmed in Canada. The 2 disk set is worth the money spent.

This is one of the best westerns to come along in many years. I watch for good westerns as there are so few produced any more. This one has the feel of being authentic in almost every way and the combination of Duvall and Costner is a perfect fit. The only error I noticed was Costner's revolver (six-shooter) in one scene firing at least eight times without reloading. See if you can find which scene I'm referring to. Other than that, I love this film and it's one I can watch over and over without tiring of it.
