The Nokia 6340i Is my cell phone of choice over any of those fancy flip phones, and camera phones. I count on one thing and that is reliability. I have dropped it countless time and it just keeps on ticking, I have dropped it in water I can even open bottles with mine (special technique required) Great signal. Cons no color, and it is bigger than most cells these days, but indestructibility and clarity make up for it.
This phone on the Cingular network called GAIT is the best system out there. My son has the GSM phone and I have service on GAIT when he doesnt. I will continue to use this phone until I cant get it anymore. I have one in reserve now. I dont know if you can still get that plan with them but if you can its worth it. I wish the manufacturers would focus on what WORKS and not what is "cool" or whatever. The external anntenna is great when you need it, which is rare. Great phone!
I received entire package in an excellent condition a few weeks ago...I was looking for an inexpensive, unlocked Nokia cellphone, which is also my favorite brand.I felt lucky to find one on Ebay, which was perfect for me because it was within my budget, easy to use,and it's durable cellphone,as I've learned from past experiences using Nokia.
This model phone is the best, period! It is plain, simple and very easy to use. It is ultra durable and gets great reception. This is my 2nd Nokia 6340i phone. The 1st one, I pounded on for about 6+ yrs, until the display started to cut out on me. The battery is amazing, it still holds a great charge afer all the yrs of service. I can talk 4+ straight hrs and still have a charge left. I didn't realize how many total hrs I had on my original phone until I recieved my 2nd phone. The 2nd phone had 234 hrs when I bought it on ebay, which seemed like a lot, until I check the 1st phone. The original one had a whopping 2,003 hrs. I didn't realize I'm on the phone that much. It is a very tuff phone with an equally tuff battery.
This is a very solid GSM phone. It is my second one, and I like it for a few simple reasons. It is almost indestructible, and I am hard on phones. A flip phone would probably not hold up under my use. It has no camera, being a basic candy bar phone. I don't need it for pictures. It has incredibly good battery life, also important to me. Finally, the call quality is very good. That's pretty much it, a good, durable phone. The only drawback, it's slightly heavy, but I can live with that.
good basic phone, Email & text messages NO CAMERA no WEB BROUSER, No GPS Those of you who dont need these,THIS Is a perfect setup lots of number(contact)storage. easy to understand menu system a bit drawn out but works well for anyone who dont want confusion or cant understand the fancier phones.
This phone was perfect for my husband. He is on a construction site everyday and needed a phone that is durable and fits MAN SIZE hands. The newest designs in cell phones, just do not last.
The phone I purchased was supposed to be in good condition and when it arrived it was in bad shape. Please make sure when you are buying something you get an acutal picture of the item you are buying.
Best damn phone ever produced !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An okay phone for the money. Bought only has an extra to have if mine goes down. Always need that extra one. Nokia is a great phone...now they need to come out with an I-Phone...LOL.
This cell phone has a plugin for an external antenna. The external antenna gives me reception at my deer camp where most phones do not work. I have had one of these for a long time. They quit making them and I really liked this phone so I have purchased several of these for extras and spare parts to keep mine and my wife's phones working.
some sellers do not diclose details on the product making it hard to decide on some purchases.Well it's ok but sellers should be more transparent with potential buyers.
I have had Nokia's in the past and think they are tremendous phones. This particular phone is a dual band and gives me great reception in difficult area. I also like the larger, heavier phones. I'm not into all the different internet options so this suits my purpose. I dont know anywhere else I can purchase these phones both new and used in great condition other than Ebay.
Iwas looking for a durable phone for my towing business. The nokia 6340i was not availible any more in the phone stores and ebay was the only option.Due to the rough conditions i put phones thru, this model phone holds up the best.Ihad issue with one of the phones i purchased but the seller and i resolved the issue.
This phone was advertised as being compatible with any cell phone service, and since my daughter lost her phone, I thought it would be a good lesson for her to have a used, no frills phone for awhile. Well the phone only cost ten dollars, but the shipping was fifteen dollars, and now our phone service provider says that the phone is too old and cannot be used with the service we have. So that was a twentyfive dollar lesson for me.
It's pretty good for how I use it. I had this phone before I got my Samsung X475 and I think it was really good! It worked for what I needed. The screen is easy to read in direct sun, too!
Pros: *Screen readable in direct sunlight *Ringers are loud *Battery life is great!! *Phone is very sturdy/rugged *No Camera (Cell Phone Cameras in the US are awful!) *Easy to use
Cons: *No Speakerphone *Unusual headset connector *Faceplate looses color easily
However, this is a great starter phone because it is easy to use.
it is one of those gotta have it for me, years ago my company decided that we would be a streamlined sales force and gave us all cell phones, since i travel a lot i got a hands free holder installed in all of my cars. this model is the only one that handles the newer digital GSM signal that still fits into the cars. so there is none better
The nokia 6340i is a phone that I can use to pick up the cell phone towers aroung here. It uses the GSM and GAIT Frequencies, which allows me to pick up US Cellular and Cingular, I use the Cingular service but I don't have any service where I live, so I can use the Cellular towers for service. This will work for about another year. By then maybe they will have a tower close to here. Another phone that will do that is the Ericsson t62u phone.
An average phone. Biggest problem for telephone buyers on Ebay is product misrepresentation and then sellers never offer to pay for return postage which is usually inflated. Have not had many successful phone buys ever on EBAY. Too bad.
The one of the two phones that I have actually recieved is fine as described but I am still waiting on the second phone and the seller thinks it was shipped and recieved but it was only the first one.
I bought this phone as a back up this is a phone that works all over old systems and new as we all know GSM is crap as far as range, noise,i use cell socket at my house before they chaged over to GSM i only had a small antena on the back now with GSM i had to buy an outside antena and an ampliphier to get a good signal at my cell socket I use a V400 in it. I dont use a land line. But for traveling the 6340i is the best way to go and its rugged.
I purchased a new car and I wanted the old phone cradle, and the cradle only handled the older model phones. I was lucky enough to find a phone that would fit into the cradle, and it was in excellent condition.
