Nokia 1100 (TracFone)

This is one of the best phones I have ever owned. It is small, lightweight and easily carried in your pocket. It has a nice, clear monochrome display. You can see it indoors or out which is a big plus in my book. A lot of the phones today are virtually impossible to see outdoors in the sunlight. This is one of the few TracFone models that has "FREE" incoming text messages. My family and friends can send me a text message from a cell phone or a PC and it is absolutely free to read the message. This saves me a bundle on airtime minutes. The battery will last for weeks without a charge which is unheard of in most cell phones this day and time. I have never had a problem with this phone. If you decide to buy this model TracFone you will not be disappointed.

The Nokia 1100 or 1100b is a good small TracFone with a long lasting battery.
It gets good reception and has good sound quality. The phone is also one of the few TracFone models that gets free incoming text messages. So you can have people text you and it does not deduct from your units or minutes on the phone. You can also set it up to receive news or weather text or Amber alerts for free from Yahoo Alerts. The phone has a small built-in flashlight feature - you can press and hold the C key to turn on the light. The 1100 is no longer available from the TracFone web site, so you can pick one up from eBay.

This is a great phone but not for everyone. If you want an inexpensive, hearty, basic phone with basic texting capabilities and voice messaging, you need to give the Nokia 1100 a look. If you want camera, music, etc., etc., etc., this phone is not for you. TracFone allows you to buy minutes as you go and gives you the capability to call locally, long distance and internationally for a reasonable standard rate. I travel a lot and particularly like using this inexpensive phone when I do. If it gets lost/stolen/left behind you haven't lost an expensive phone and your chances of someone running up a huge bill on it are limited to your call minutes remaining. I also like this phone because with TracFone you don't have to work very hard to keep ahead on the minutes and activation time remaining--both show on the screen when you aren't actually using the phone. Battery life is great. I use the phone a lot some months and not at all other months. If you are constantly on the phone, the Nokia 1100 and TracFone are probably not for you. I would also say that it is easy to go through the menu and find what you want and the little LED flashlight is handy. This phone works out very well for me. I would have given it an excellent but I know many people need or want more capability.

Nice little phone. Like the flashlight feature. Long lasting battery as well. Batery chargers quick. Easy to use.

This phone has great reception and excellent battery life! I also liked the candy bar design of the phone. If you are a person that needs a simple phone for emergencies, the Nokia 1100 is for you!

I likw this Nokia 1100, it is easy to use and sample to operate. if it is NEW it is good, but recently, there were lots of refurbihsed, phones (1100) looks like a new but Batteries were NO good at all. Some hold charge and some don't.
So,if youhave a new it is good.

This model offers very good value for a prepaid cell phone. It is loaded with features, and the flat rate for all calls is especially good. I appreciate the fact that this model does not have roaming charges.

LIKES: finally have a phone for my style living (instead of paying 43.00 a month for a Sprint contract) when all I use is about 11 minutes a month (period).
