I think that the N64 system represents one of the best deals as far as used video game systems. It was one of the best and most durable game systems ever made. It rarely gives any trouble - as can systems that use a disk and laser eye. And if you have kids playing video games, since this is a cartridge based system you don't have to worry about them scratching the game disk. Further, games are both cheap and plentiful

There are only 2 main issues to be aware about with the N64:
1. On the rare occasion you will need to clean your game contacts with a Q-Tip but within seconds you are back in business.
2. And when purchasing used, make sure that the controller is the genuine Nintendo brand and that the joystick is not worn or sloppy (this is the main point of wear on this system)

So in conclusion, with a HUGE LIBRARY OF INEXPENSIVE GAMES TO CHOOSE FROM - as well as GREAT GRAPHICS - controllers that give you GREAT 3D MOVEMENT - and a cartridge system that far OUTLASTS and is MORE DEPENDABLE than the new disk based systems - the N64 is one of the GREAT BARGAINS available in the world of video games.

My adult son wanted to have an extra game system for his games. He doesn't want to invest the time or money on new systems. Strange, the cables that came with this system is for the older TV sets. We had to figure it out on our own. Otherwise it works fine.

I bought it for someone else, I gues that's what they wanted but the deal went very smooth. they are using it fine, no complaints so far.

I like this system because it is easy for young children to use. My older children had one so I won one from ebay for my grandson.

the system works great. just have problems with the rumble pack, and 2:3 controllers. but still good buy

Excellent console for the older player who like to play their old games. you can always bring back memories of the 007 and zelda games

I am sadly still waiting on my package. It was bought as a bday gift but unfortuanatly that birthday has come and gone. I was told it was sent priority mail from NC but i when i called the post office they said it was still there!!!
This has been a horrible transaction, we paid for it 5 mins after we won the bid and was excited to have won...this was 2 weeks ago and were still waiting!!!
Hopefully i will have good things to say about the actual package when or IF it ever arrives.

We bought this system for our 5 year old son. Rather than spend a fortune on the latest and greatest, we decided to start him out on something simpler and easy to use...our set came with about a dozen age appropriate games. He is able to work the system by himself. I would encourage other parents to consider this system, if you don't have hundreds to spend. Youngest don't know that it's an older system, they just think it's FUN!

i purchased a used n64 console with two nintendo controllers. first, the item took almost two weeks to arrive when the seller stated that shipping was to only take 2-3 days. secondly, i emailed the seller several times about this and never received a response. thirdly, when the product eventually did arrive, it was in a much poorer condition then stated in the description - specifically the controllers joysticks were used so much that they wobbled and functioned extremely poorly. the problem was that the seller specifically stated in his description that the controllers had "firm joysticks." this turned out to be a lie. i will never patronize this seller again. if you have any questions feel free to message me.
