I have always found Simon and Garfunkel to play very soothing music and I always loved the late 60's early 70's era classic tunes.. Even after Paul Simon goes it alone he has sseveral hits!!!! A must have for the Simon and Garfunkel fan.. CD contains my all time favorites:
1. Mother And Child Reunion 2. Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard 5. Loves Me Like A Rock 6. Kodachrome 8. 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover 9. Still Crazy After All These Years 11. Slip Slidin' Away
I have always loved Paul Simon songs and it occured to me that I could find it a lot faster at Ebay than looking through the oldies bins at the music store! I probably found it cheaper too!
Negotiations and Love Songs is a compilation of hits from the ever-changing style of Paul Simon. It is a "must have" album for any Paul Simon fan. From his earlier styles with "Something So Right", to his newer world-music sounds in "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" and "Graceland". With unforgetable, pulse pounding tunes like "Kodachrome", "Me and Julio", and "Late in the Evening" you'll have a hard time taking this one out of your CD player.

All the Songs You Know, Plus Some....

Pros: Paul Simon at his best--musically and lyrically, Rhymin' Simon's the MAN.
Cons: ....hmm. Lack of Garfunkel? That's not a con per se...
I was raised on Classical Music. A crime for which my parents will eventually be held accountable. The only deviations from their steady diet of Beethoven, Mozart and more obscure composers like Gorecki and Hohvanhess (who wrote something using WHALES as instruments...) were Simon and Garfunkel and Peter, Paul, and Mary. So I grew up hearing Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, thinking that was Hard Rock, and not the mellow elevator music that most people associate it with. Despite my love of Simon and Garfunkel, I hadn't ever heard much of Paul Simon by himself. Then, one day in the...

"THERE GOES...RHYMIN' SIMON...'CAUSE HE'S THE BEST...TOTALLY"

Pros: Kodachrome, other great Simon solo hits
Cons: no American Tune, my favorite solo Simon song
I very rarely watch Saturday Night Live, so I was tickled when I happened to turn it on last week and discovered that it was the Paul Simon / Election 2000 episode. I'd made a special point of watching it the first time around, and I made a special point of watching it again, this time armed with a video tape. I think if my parents hear "THERE GOES...RHYMIN' SIMON...'CAUSE HE'S THE BEST...TOTALLY" one more time, they're going to scream... Anyway, all four of the songs which were played during this SNL sketch are included on this album, which is a 15-year retrospective of Paul Simon's solo...

Negotiations and Love Songs Are Often Mistaken For One and the Same

Pros: Everything works
Cons: not
Paul Simon is an American musical icon, a living legend. Paul Simon is known primarily for his 1960s work with on again, off again sidekick Art Garfunkel. The two have given us many folk/adult contemporary/classic rock gems like Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, The Boxer, The 59th Street Bridge Song, Homeward Bound and on and on. Just about all of these songs were written by Paul Simon. In 1970, the duo split because of personal and artistic reasons. While Art Garfunkel pursued a career in acting as well as music, Paul Simon had remained a successful singer/songwriter with some high carting albums and.

Essential Paul Simon

Pros: Amazing lyrics, beautiful music
Cons: none
I believe Paul Simon to be one of the absolute greatest song-writers of all time. This album proves it. Every single song on the album is a classic. I am passionate about music, and am therefore somewhat biased, but I am not exaggerating. This is a beautiful album full of beautiful music and lyrics with a singer that has a voice that at once breaks your heart and heals all wounds. I first fell in love with Paul Simon as a child listening to my parent's Simon and Garfunkel records. That's where I first learned the power of words. The entire "Sound of Silence" album inspired me more than...
We received this album as a gift before our daughter was born. My husband and I both enjoyed the easy going, emotionally charged music contained on the album, but what we didn't realize at the time was our newborn would love it too. I've heard from other parents that this compilation album quieted their newborns as well. My daughter's personal favorite, "Me
