OK, so I admit I see POISON and I buy it! I had not bought this CD since it was not CC Deville on guitar and in my mind this is not POISON. The album is OK. It is not a bad album it just does not have CC Deville and without him the band is not actually who I have grown to love in the past 20 years. I will definitely listen to the album and I do enjoy the new sound they tried to bring to us but thankfully CC is back now and we can get on with the amazing music to come that we all look forward to from POISON! If you are a die hard fan it is a must since it is always good to see what the band does without being complete because it will make you appreciate CC being back on guitar again and pray he never leaves. Of course, Brett, Ricky and Bobby are still amazing as always.
I always like Poison, they're not to heavy & hard, but not to soft & slow either. Just some good old rock & roll, which I need from time to time. It's so hard to find any good rock & roll music nowadays, but thankfully there's Poison with the great albums. This is the first & last albums by guitarist Richie Kotzen, & he delivers.
The Quality of CD was great with reasonable price. And also the delivery time is quite effective. Too many interesting CD at this store. Hope to do business with you again.
when i bought the cd it said brand new when i recieved it it was broken.. but oddly enough it still played every song... i was dissapointed with the fact the cd was broken cause i wanted a new one but i guess its alright considering the cd still played.
I was very disappointed with the album. The condition of the actual CD was fine, but the actual music was not very good. The loss of C.C. sent the band's music in a downward spiral, and now it's more country than rock with Richie. If you loved the old Poison (the good Poison), I wouldn't suggest getting this album. These songs sound so unlike them that it's almost scary.

Pros: A few really good tracks
Cons: Loss of C.C. & change in musical direction make this their worst effort
In 1993 Poison attempted to continue playing their unique brand of party style music. Nirvana had hit two years previously so they had a tough road to climb. It was made all the tougher by the departure of original guitarist C.C. Deville due to tensions in the band and C.C.'s bad drug problem. Poison decided to recruit famed instrumental guitarist Richie Kotzen to fill the void left by C.C.. Everybody knew Kotzen could play guitar, but no one knew how would he fit in with a band, particularly one not as experimental as his normal style of music. Poison attempted to mature some on this album,..

Richie Kotzen Fits Just Right C.C. DeVille... Even Better!

Pros: Richie Kotzen's guitar solos, modern rock-metal sound, the lyrics are not sexually explicit.
Cons: This album don't sell as much as their previous ones.
First thing I can say... This album is full of pros and no con(s) at all. For me, Richie Kotzen is a better guitar player than C.C. DeVille. He added a brand new twist on the music of Poison. This album is not 100% glam rock as you are expecting. A bit power and heaviness was added in this album... (but not as Heavy as Metallica and Megadeth) The song 'Native Tongue' is an intro to the next song... The Scream. It is a drum solo that went on continuously to the melodic tune of The Scream. The Scream is a fast and wild rock tune with chanting voices on the background as the so called title of...
