NFL Head Coach (Playstation 2)

Head Coach is exactly what the title presents. You get to be a head coach for pretty much any team as long as you pass the interview process. After that you get Team proposals and pick a team. Then you go through and pick the players you want to re-sign or get rid of. Simming anytime during this process pretty much screws everything up so make sure you take the time and go through all the processes. After signing and releasing players and staff you get ready for the draft by sending your scout out to find players to fill your empty slots. Before the draft you get the chance of making trade offers. Which is great because you can trade crappy players for first round draft picks (If you play your cards right) After the draft, you sign the new players a contract and run drills in practise. (Be aware that you do not become a player during practise or games; you watch the computer do it's thing) During practise and games you try to motivate your players either aggresively (you yell)or nicely (you say "Good Job!!"), in order to highten their spirits and get them to play like pros should. The big con of this game is the loading screens. The loading screens take about 25 sec each time and really take up a crap load of time. You will literally not play a game in career mode until about 12hrs into it. The good thing is, is that if you keep winning games you start becoming a legend and start getting better staff who trains your players better and get them ready faster for gameday. This is a boring game. I would recommend other football games. Madden career mode is more appealing.

I like the game because it gives you the chance to be the coach of basically any team you want and for once it isnt a game where you take over and chuck a 90-yard TD pass on every play because you dont get to play and arm accuracy and strength is realistic. It's also fun because you need to strategize. Say your up against a team with good safteys, then you just run the ball alot, otherwise you will lose for sure. If your up against a team with good WR's then just play your guys farther back to make an interception. I like this game alot and do reccomend it :).....

The only bad thing is that the graphics arn't the best and it takes a long time to load.

the game didn't work all other games work but this one does not even register with the system. i would have called company but after all the problems i had just getting it the first time no thanks. they didn't have an instution book for the game. so i got a game that doesn't work with no instuction book.

The game is very tedious and can get boring at times. But, it puts you in the shoes of any level of football coach. The game should teach some people how difficult of job it is to be a NFL Head Coach. The game is a good idea for EA Sports to come out with. It is time consuming and somewhat boring.

My husband plays this game daily. I paid about half the retail store price. This was an excellent deal.

When I was buying this game I thougt that it would be fun being the coach of your favorite team. You would get to call the plays and gameplan against your opponent, but I quickly found out that this game was horrible. The graphics first of all are really bad. The playbooks look horrible, and the players are all fat. The best part of this game I would say is when you get hired, when you fire your staff, and when you hire new staff, thats it. Other than that this game is horrible and I wouldnt recommend anybody to but it. That's why they havent come out with a NFL Head Coach 2. Because this one was so bad. I would much rather play my Madden all day rather that wasting my time and playing this piece of junk. If you go and read the reviews by other people who have played this game they will all say the samething, and that's that this game sucks. Go get Madden 2007 or Madden 2008 and actually enjoy playing your game. Thats why you play the game is to have fun, not to bored out of your mind.

My son was buying this game. He is very happy with it and it is in great shape. The shipping was speedy quick. I will do business with them again. He really enjoys these Football games.

To involved with team and coaches.Takes to long to make a.team and pay coaches.Maybe when my son is older he will like it. That is why its so chep at walmart now.

i purchased this game for my husband. he likes it when im not home because i happen to be a competitive person and like the multi-player games where i can compete against him, but if you like single player games this one is good. you dont get to play the games but you can call the plays.

This is for a hardcore nfl fans and it puts you in the place of the head coach to make the good and bad decision to either win or lose games.It is a little time consuming but is well worth it for nfl fans.You get offer a coaching contracts for teams you get to decide who you want to coach of the avaible teams with vacany.Your ultimate goal is to get to the super bowl and to improve your team every year.You have to build trust,job security,draft players in the nfl draft.

GREAT GAME! Pick in the draft, design the perfect team. Like fantasy football but in a game format. Just great game play puts you in the drivers seat as the coach.

Was very upset because I wrote to the company several several several times and never got an answer from them about the item because I never recieved it. I had to write to e-bay and pay pal to get the matter taken care of. They took the money right away and admitted to that but never went any farther with the sending or mailing or even trying to contact me about not having it. I waited and waited and was late giving it for what I had intentions on doing.

Its a pretty heavily detailed game with all sorts of nuances of the experience. It goes so in depth though you feel like you have to play forever to get anywhere. When you coach in a game it is so mindnumbingly easy to obliterate the opposing team, and there is no way to make it harder, unless maybe it gets harder as the years go on, but I just havent the time or energy to do that these days. Its a pretty good game, just dont make any plans for a long time when you start.

I like the game alot. I played it for a while and it kind of got old. I just kept wanting to play in the game when i was coaching, but the coaching is very fun for a while. If you like franchise mode in Madden, and dynasty mode in NCAA College Football then this game is for sure a good game to check out.

This game takes you in a roller coaster ride of strategy and the daily routines of being a head coach.

the game play is exactly like madden 06, but you cannot control the players. it is interesting to see how the back office, administrative process works, but it's by no means fun without the game play. it'd be a nice option to madden, but not as the prime feature.

sweet game..very addicting. Graphics are exceptional....highly recommended for any sports fan..takes the game of football to a new perspective.

NFL Head Coach needs work because I believe that the player needs more control over the players in the games that are played. In the game play all you do is coach, I know that is what you do in the game, but I would like more control of the action on the field. The graphics are pretty good from the coach's to the players themselves but they could be better then what it was. The sounds of the game was good but it need work from the coach's to even the fans. This game is a renter but if you like this game you should buy it.

i bought it for my roommate he liked it alot he loves all sport games and wanted it weird thing is after playing it a while he dont play it anymore he is like that with most of his games
