The writers should have sprayed Windex on the script!

I like a good romantic comedy as much as the next guy. Either a good script or an attractive female lead (or both) will keep me at least slightly interested for the duration of the film, but this script was so terrible that even Ms USA as the lead would not have been enough to keep my interest.
My wife and I thought we were going to watch a romantic comedy, but there is nothing even remotely funny or romantic in this movie. The jokes are tired and lame.. the parts of the movie that were intended to be romantic came across - for the most part - as silly rather than sweet.
The movie does have its moments, but they are few and far between.
The best part of the movie was the running theme that Windex can fix anything and everything (including pimples). Not that I don't like Windex, but when it is the best part of the movie you have a problem.
After reading all the glowing reviews on here, I thought that I should give it another try.. I did so last night.. and it still sucked.
Bottom Line: If you MUST see this movie - join NetFlix and add it to your list. Otherwise, blow it off - it's not worth buying or paying a rental fee from a normal retail video rental outlet.

When I first viewed My Big Fat Greek Wedding I laughed out loud. I realized it is not only the Greeks but this happens in all families! Very funny. Great to add to your personal collection.

The one theater around here regularly doesn t get movies. Some of the ones that never made it here have been movies I really wanted to see. I get really annoyed when this happens. I had to go an hour away to Columbus to see One Hour Photo last month - that movie did show up here last weekend, which really surprised me. Several months ago I saw some previews for a movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, that looked good to me, but the movie wasn t in the theater here. I figured I d have to wait to rent to the movie to see it. Finally, after almost six months, it actually showed up in the theater here.

There comes a point in My Big Fat Greek Wedding when you realize it s all just a bunch of hype after all. Unfortunately, that point comes within the first minute of the film.
