Great cdI realize this cd is old but there were some songs on it that I liked. I couldn't find it anywhere until I looked on ebay. I got this cd at a really great price and I like it a lot. There are some great love songs on it. I had a really good experience.

I like this Cd very much. This is one of her earlier albums. Her voice is very smooth and the lyrics are great. The songs are great and Easy to relate to. SHe is a dynomite singer. THe price was great! A great Ebay deal!

People were in love with Mariah Carey by now. I'm not talking superficial love. She was a superstar with a superstar fan base. She was a label's dream. With only three albums, (two studio albums) she was marketable with her good looks and great voice, made music parents could buy for their kids, and was still growing vocally. Music Box maintained the consistent formula that was heard throughout Emotions and Mariah Carey. She gave us the signature ballads, the inspirational feel good tracks, and the few danceable songs. After the success of her (rather good) debut album and the bearable but formulaic Emotions , it was time for Mariah Carey to explore and develop her sound. So she did, recording Music Box and stunning the audience with her five-octave vocal range fully unleashed over thrashing, hardcore death metal. Only kidding! Lending credence to a theory I have about Mariah (that she keeps releasing slightly-tweaked versions of the same album), Music Box isn t that different from her first two records. The level of skill in the writing is still pretty low, but there s an important difference. This disc is.

I was going to re-read my review on Mariah Carey's Music Box when I came to a shocking realization: in my whole eight years on Epinons I have never reviewed this album. So here I am immediately set to rectify that situation. Not that there isn't already plenty of good reviews on the album already but I just felt the need to be complete. So Mariah Carey's third album was released in 1993 and contains several major hits for the diva. It also has some pretty forgettable songs as well.
