The new version of Vince Gill....Brad Paisley
Review created: 07/12/08

Brad Paisley is a recent discovery of mine. I tend to stay with the older favorites but after seeing several of his videos on CMT and noticing his tremendous guitar work, well I'm a big fan now and own all of his CDs after receiving this one today. Brad also writes most of the songs he recordhs and at the end of the CDs he gets a few of the elder statesmen of country music together for a laugh or two.

Brad Paisley is now in my Top 10 of male vocalists which includes Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Gram Parsons, John Prine, George Jones, Jimmy Ibbitson, Don Williams, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Sr. & Jr., Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and a few others. Pretty good company for Brad, huh?

I suggest you treat yourself and get his music in your collection as soon as possible.

I bought this CD to practice for Karaoke. Brad has many great songs and is a hit at the Karaoke party. If you have never listened to Brad, Get some of his music. He is one of the very best talents on the scene in country music today.

I bought this CD for one song on it, " Whiskey lullaby" with Alison Krauss. I love that song! I did find a couple more songs on this album that I liked as well... I will be keeping this one.

Ok - I'm surprised - no one reviewed this yet ?? Anyway - Brad Paisley is a great artist - not just country - but overall. This CD "Mud on the Tires" is terrific. The songs "Celebrity" and Whiskey Lullaby will be classics.

Brad Paisley ~ Country with a bit of TWANG!

Pros:
lots of great music here

Cons:
some of it is silly

"Mud on the Tires" is Brad Paisley's 3rd CD. Bobby Reed from the Chicago Sun said "Mud on the Tires" is the best mainstream country disc of the year so far". He calls Brad Paisley "a better singer than Tim McGraw, a better songwriter than Toby Keith, a better humorist than Cledus T. Juss and a better guitarist than nearly anyone else". Wow, that's high standards. I don't know if I would go that far, but I do think Brad has a lot of talent. Not only is he a fine singer with handsome good looks, but he is a talented songwriter and guitarist as well. "Mud on the Tires" has 16 tracks: Mud on the..

Getting mud on my tires w/Brad

Pros:
nice variety of songs

Cons:
.....

OK, just exactly what is a Brad Paisley? He s a guy that would rather be in a bass boat than a brass bed. He s a guy that would sit on the front porch in a rockin chair with a grass blade in his mouth and pick his ge-tar. He s a guy that would make fun of the most common thing in life and laugh until his sides hurt and the same guy that would look inside a broken heart and cry until his sides hurt. He is someone that simply has fun doing what he does. Brad Paisley is an enigma. Ya don t have to be plumbasseddumb to know why I bought this CD. Whiskey Lullaby of course, I'm that much of a...

Brad Paisley achieves Celebrity status without compromising

Pros:
Brad's skills are just as sharp as they've always been.

Cons:
I can't think of any...get back to me.

While Nashville today is still ruled by the likes of Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, it's nice to see traditional artists still getting their fair share of the glory. One such artist is Brad Paisley, whose first two CDs have sold millions of copies. Who Needs Pictures and Part II have both been certified platinum, and Brad has captivated audiences with his astounding blend of rich vocals, rockin' guitar picking and masterful song crafting. Not since Vince Gill has Nashville seen such a complete artist, and the fact that Brad holds a deep appreciation for REAL country...

  Brad becomes a "celebrity"

Pros:
Good arrangement and variety of songs, good music, good vocals, and very catchy.

Cons:
None, except he doesn't have at least 3 top 10 hits off it already.

Well, I have to say, I am kind of biased, I really like Brad Paisley, and he is my favorite male country artist, and so of course I recommend this, if you wonder if I like it, I do, but I have my reasons why, and I will explain them the best way I know how, and I think this album deserves to be broken down one song at a time so you know what my opinion is on each one, and then as a whole. Track 1: Mud on the Tires: This song is a catchy little tune, not too bad to start out the album as it does, nothing amazing, but its one of the songs I do get stuck in my head sometimes, but I do that with..

  "Mud On The Tires"
Review created: 10/19/03
by: countryfan1 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Good country album with a lot of song variety.

Cons:
What can I say?

Brad Paisley has, indeed, done it again. He's put out another traditional country album with a variety of songs, from "Celebrity" to "Whiskey Lullaby." There are 17 tracks on this album, one of which is the traditional gospel number "Farther Along." There's also a bonus track, #17, called "Kung Pao." For more on this disc, you simply need to get the C.D. It really is great. Whether you're a serious Brad Paisley fan or just a casual fan of country who likes a variety of artists and songs, "Mud On The Tires" is an album for you.
