MotorStorm (Playstation 3)

This game has insane graphics, killer sound, superb vehicle handling, a wide selection of bikes/dune buggys/cars, courses that deteriorate as the race goes on..you name it!!!!! I seriously do not see ANY flaws with this game.

As a PS3 exclusive, this game (along with many others. i.e. Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword, Lair, God of War III, SoCom IV, Ratchet & Clank....the list goes on and on and on) will pump some life into the otherwise tepid lineup of launch games for the Playstation 3. This game is just the beginning of a killer line-up of exclusives that will hit the PS3 this year! If you already have a PS3, you're sitting pretty right now cause there are SO MANY good games to come!

If you're still debating about whether or not to shell out $600 on getting a PS3, I highly recommend you do because this is the future of gaming.

Aside from Halo 3, the Xbox 360 has a very very weak line-up of exclusive games. You can check out any gaming website and see for yourself! I particularly like the online article that gamepro did. They compared the 3 systems out right now (PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii) and the PS3 won first place.

Games is fast paced and action packed. It's not excellent, but it's good. Would recommend, but nothing over 20 bucks.

There are so many good things about this game but to me it's still average. Because it is hard (at least for me). It takes too long to load and it was so annoying when you pick cars.

The graphics are amazing and the collisions are so realistic in this game. I also like the way almost as soon as you have an accident,you are back into the race in a couple of seconds assuring yourself to still be in the race. The BOOST feature in the game also is well done giving you a sudden burst of speed shooting you past your compitition. I love it and all my buds just tripped on it. It was inexpensive and well worth it!!!!!!

This game is amazing. Graphics are like none other, if you want an amazing entertainment experience this is the game to get!

Motorstorm is pretty much like an MX vs ATV game yet it has some twists to it for example the tracks can sometimes get pretty crazy a and they also throw in big rigs just for kicks overall its an entertaining game its probebly nothing that you will be playing for a long time but its always a good game to have when your bored as well has it having online play makes it a great game to play from a scale from 1-10 i would probably give it an 8 so if you havnt played it yet i suggest more for you to rent it unless you can find a copy from $20-25.

Graphics are pretty good....intro looks real as can be but the game is not as real but still very good. Wreck as much as you like....if you blow up your ride they start you at the exact same spot as you died so the only thing you lose is your speed. Play game for a few hours at least....same thing over and over so far....we will see once I unlock more tracks.

This is a very very fun off road racing game. It is very fun that you can kick everybody out from the track, you can use any type of vehicles from motorcycle to rally car or trucks. I have been playing this game continuously for a year!!!

The graphics are pretty cool. Really cool at the start of the game, you know, the start up video. But thats where the good stops. Its kinda borring and pointless after that.

I bought the game for my son to play as he loves dirtbikes and quads, he really enjoys it (he is 6yrs old), my youngest son (2yrs old) loves the sound track and dances to it everytime they play it... I think that the scenery in the game is really nice looking and realistic, and I like the fact that it is non-violent. Sometimes it's hard to find games that aren't about war or destroying things. :P My only complaint about the game is that there is no split screen option. :( Other than that it's a pretty fun game.

The game received a lot of hype, but it wasn't what we expected. I wouldn't recommend it. It was too hard for us to play. We found another car racing game we enjoy more.
We didn't like the music that accompanied the game. It would be nice to be able to change it.
We did like the graphics...very detailed.

MotorStorm is a fantastic racer for PS3. And it's not like any other races you have played before. For starter, you don't see how fast you are going, there's no speedometer. You are racing against bikes and rigs... that's right, anything from buggies to something that looks like a dump truck.

Each car handles differently and given each track has many routes, you have to find out which route is good for which type of vehicle. It supports only 720P but when it plays on my 1080i TV, it looks better than the other games I have. Some might be turned off by the blaring heavy metal type music all the time but it suits the environment very well.

The game if of course not perfect. The loading time when selecting vehicles is mind boggling, since you are selecting a car, not loading a mountain. There's only a handful of tracks, granted, different vehicles and different routes will make them last much longer than it would in any other racing games. And perhaps the worst thing about the racer is that it has no multi-player offline. Online, one could play with up to 12 players but offline, there's no split screen, just single player experience.

Overall, the game is a must for any racing fan. Even if you are not a racing fan, the unorthodox style of the game should be fun for anyone. Stunning visuals and great game play easily compensate for the lack of offline multi-player option. You will have a great time playing it.

I love this game it is cool and now I see why it is so popular and the best thing is that it is still 59.99 plus tax in the store and I bought it for a total of 20.00 off e-bay and it is brand new in package and sealed never opened man you cant beat that. I do wish it had a 2 player mode instead of of just a single player game. Maybe next time if there is a Motor Storm #2. I bought it so I could race my other family member's on line and kick there butt or try to anyways. I recommend this game if you like off road racing but I would not spend the full price of 59.99 on the game do to it only has one player mode and that it can get a little boring racing on the same track and plus the higher you get in the game even when it is set on easy the computer will not let you win a pulls of amazing bull crap moves on you so there for you cant advance to the next level. You will have to race a few times or a little more to beat the computer when you get up there in the high levels in order to advance. Besides the computer cheating it is a great game and would buy just for the online play.

For those who didn't get this title bundled in with their system, it's definitely worth considering -especially if your library is missing a racing game.
Graphics nicely represent the PS3’s Hi-Def capabilities (720p), features mostly rock music tracks that are original songs by their original artists (a few hip hop and electronic tunes), and there are different terrains and alternate routes on every course to offer you plenty of replay with many different types of vehicles. New courses and vehicles are unlocked as you progress thru challenges.
And it gets better! You can race online against others (up to 12 racers at a time) and you can even download additional add-ons for this game thru the Playstation Store such as more vehicles and more courses. Now that’s an upgrade.
Whether you only have 10 minutes to spare or 10 hours to play, this title is sure to rock you with a quick rush of speed and adrenaline. I found mine on eBay for under $25 w/shipping. That’s almost half off the price from your local video game store at home –and they’re selling you a Used copy!
It’s rated “T” for teens, but I say it works for anyone who wants to race –regardless of age or gender. There are no guns, no blood, or any monsters, just lots of loud engines and mud in your face!

I love reacing games and the graphics and gameplay in Motorstorm is great. However the game is very one dimensional. There is only one race mode. There is no split screen mode, no checkpoint races, qualifiers, no ability to race again just motorcycles or just trucks, etc. You must race against all types of vehicles.

Just seems like this game is missing out. The physics are good but the overall game lacks.
