I am an Elvis Music Collector and what struck me most about this particular Elvis Cd Moody Blue was the number os tracks on it. This album is actually 2 albums in one(Moody Blue & Elvis Presley Blvd). The actually CD has real nice graphics and will fit nicely in my collection.

I have always loved Elvis in the 70's. The 50's was rockin', the 60's was swinging, and in the 70's we saw a more mature Elvis. He sang more powerful ballads, with heavier orchestral overdubs. Recording his last studio songs at his home Graceland in 1976, they were some of the strongest he ever recorded. I really love Danny Boy, strong and powerful. And who can forget the hits Moody Blue and Way Down along with the brilliant Hurt. Please forgive me Roger Whitaker, but the way Elvis performed The Last Farewell is the best version ever recorded.
On this CD, we also get recodings made live by the King in 1977. You gotta love Little Darling and the awesome If You Love Me (Let Me Know). RCA have omitted Let Me Be There for this release. This is because it was recorded in 1974 and released on the LP Elvis Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis. I never could figure out why they added it to the Moody Blue LP. There were so many other songs that would have been better on this album. I for one would have loved Elvis' version of America (The Beautiful).
Elvis' last album, Moody Blue, was released just a few weeks before he passed away. It's part of music history, and should be a part of any Elviscollection. It's not complete without this one. And here you get it with From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee.

Pros:
A force to be reckoned with..even at the end.

Cons:
His last album.

I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and was 7 when Elvis died. "Moody Blue" was the last studio album that Elvis recorded, and my mother (who purchased it) was lucky enough to buy one of the earliest editions. The disk was actually a see-through blue, and the cover had a different picture of Elvis. There are times when this album is difficult to listen to...not because of Elvis's voice; he sounds great. But in light of his impending death, revisiting this music from 20 years on is rather disturbing, as there are some genuinely poignant moments on "Moody Blue." The first song, ...

Pros:
Just love that voice.

Cons:
Makes me very emotional.

This is one of my favorite albums that Elvis recorded. I purchased the record in England in 1977. It was released by RCA and cost me 2 pounds 89 pence ($4.50). I played the album several times but when the C.D. came out I purchased that too. I keep all my Elvis albums in the best condition possible as they are now worth money. I adore Elvis's music. In the late 60's I was a teenager and so wanted him to visit England. He never did. The Beatles were the "in" music in England, but I stayed true to Elvis. This album/C.D. has 10 wonderful tunes on it. 1. Unchained Meldoy. A wonderful ballad that..

Pros:
Most songs were vocally outstanding.

Cons:
Not something you'd expect from the King of Rock and Roll.

By listening to the last album made by Elvis Presley it's hard to tell that he was sick judging by the release of some of his final concerts by either bootleg or RCA release. Unchained Melody: The first song on the album. I hate to tell you folks but that song was doctored up. The way it was originally recorded was just Elvis and the Piano. RCA added the other instruments and vocals to give the song more effect and vigor. It's a true fact. If you Love me Let me know. Olivia Newton John's bubble gum country classic. # 2 song on the album. I've heard better live versions done by Elvis. Elvis In.

Pros:
Elvis may have left the building but he lives on in the music.

Cons:
Elvis lives on in our hearts, souls and memories.

This album "MOODY BLUE" is one of Elvis's greatest. It's truely awesome. You would really like(or even love)this cd if you bought it. The King Of Rock~n~Roll really has done it with this album. "Let Me Be There" is really great. "Moody Blue" is the hit for this album. "Little Darlin'"(all I can say for this one is....oh my gosh!) "Pledging My Love" well this is the romantic song on this album. "Unchained Melody" that one he did, well it was out of sight.(oh yeah baby!) He also had other songs on this album, but here are all the songs and length of time each song lasts on my "MOODY BLUE" cd: 1.

My hero at his best - and last!

Pros:
One of the best albums Elvis recorded

Cons:
None

Moody Blue has got to be my all time favourite Elvis album, and believe me I have a lot of his albums! I think this one means so much because it was the last one he recorded and it is filled with such raw emotion that you cannot help but listen to every word and truly believe in what he is singing. Many of the songs are almost autobiographical, such as She thinks I still care. This is a very emotional song about a man trying to convince himself and others that he no longer cares about his ex, but it is obvious from his words and actions that this is far from the case. Maybe this is about...
