I have had my camera for a couple of years now. This camera is not complicated at all.A beginner would have no trouble with this one.Its loaded with features but the control panel makes it very easy to have access to all of them.I had never done much photography but I enjoyed this camera so much I made a second income with it.I now do weddings, portraits, freelance of any kind. You have a wide variety of accessorys to built your camera up as large as you would.I would give recommend this camera to anyone.
This is a great film camera. I've had and Minolta cameras for about 30 years and really like the new Maxxum line. It is light without feeling cheap; has a smooth and quiet shutter response; lenses are readily available; and the autofocus mechanism works quickly and relatively effortlessly. This would be perfect for the amateur or professional.
I liked that she was so prompt in sending out the camera. Unfortinately I am having major issues with UPS to recieve the camera, which is not her fault at all. I seem to always have problems with UPS.
I love the excellent pics I have been able to take. I also like the fact that the flash unit is turned on and forgot about. When you unlock the camera shutter, the flash opens and is rready for action. I attached a bigger lense to it upon arival and it works even better that the one that came with it. Lots of power and lots of options to take pics manually. I actually prefer this camera over my Canon F-1 pro setup.
thank you for the great camera i am sure i will use it on all my trips as wellmy fashion shows thank you i couldnt afford to buy a brand new one but this will be a great start. again thank you so much
Camera was shipped well packaged and in a timely manner. Upon opening the package it appeared in very good condition, and after inspecting I found it to be very well maintained. I decided to buy it for my love of photography. I also enjoy taking the 35mm. pictures.
After I started using reading glasses my 35mm became difficult to use.At that time I bought a new Minolta 400si.After many years the autofocus did not work anymore,so my son suggested to try ebay, to find a replacement. The camera is not manufactured anymore, so ebay was my only hope to find my autofocus. My thanks to the babe who came up with this new source of shopping. Absolutely a fabulous camera at a great price. Topnotch service! I have one of these cameras and it had problems, I bought this one as a replacement. I personally love the Minolta and although, I recently bought a digital SLR, I find it hard to give up my 35mm. I highly recommend this camera to anyone. It is easy to use and takes absolutely beautiful pictures.
I have 2 SLR 35mm cameras, both manual. Purchased this camera (used) for the rest of the family to enjoy. Ease of use allows even my 6 year old to enjoy taking pictures of his friends and siblings. My wife's enjoys the auto-focus due to her having eye troubles. The older kids (17 & 15) can't set it down. They love the auto film advance, auto programing, and auto rewind. I like the fact that I can switch to manual mode and also have fun. This camera is taking a complete workout with our family and holding up extremely well. I can't imagine what prior owners put this camera thru, AND ITS STILL SNAPPING! If only the camera could talk and tell its story.
I purchased this particular camera because my Dad bought it for my mom a few years ago for christmas. It always took the BEST pictures! The camera I purchased was in excellant condition and came with the bag, instructions and a zoom lense. I have already taken at least 6 rolls of film with it and the pictures came out Wonderful. I am not a big fan of digital cameras, I do not feel they have the picture quality that Film cameras have especially this particular camera. I have been extremely Happy with this purchase.
I had this camera for several years and have taken many fantastic shot. For a Point-and-Shoot camera it is top of the line. This camera has traveled around the world with me several times taking thousands of photos and I've never had a problem with quality or ease of use. I highly recommend owning the Minolta Maxxum 400si.
