I love this c.d. and have been looking everywhere for it,so finding and purchasing it through Ebay was awesome! !!Really took me back to 1993..Hip Hop was sooo much simpler then. This is a classic that I will cherish for a long time...and if you are a true lover of hot music I recommend it strongly if it's not in your collection!!

Golden Era Classic: A Tribe Called Quest Loot for Ears with Midnight Marauders

Pros: Classic, groundbreaking ATCQ joints.
Cons: One wack track.
A Tribe Called Quest reuniting!? Whether you re a fan of the trio or not, it s impossible to deny that the reunion of the legendary trio is a good thing. Since going their separate ways, the group has proven that ATCQ was definitely greater than the sum of its parts. It s certainly no crime to contend that Phife Dog has never really been a pitbull on the mic, and his solo work without Q-Tip is often all bark and no bite as a result. Conversely, Tip s vivrant solo efforts enjoyed more commercial success than Phife s, despite the fact that the principal redeeming qualities of his music were the.

"I Like My Beats Hard, Like Two Day Old $hIt": Tribe's Masterpiece

Pros: Everything. This is one of the few hip-hop albums that can be called "perfect".
Cons: Tribe's career immediately went into a tailspin after this.
What makes a classic album? Most people would say that the best music jumps out as you as opposed to slowly building over time. There's an instant gratification aspect to albums like "Thriller"-due to state-of-the-art production and other things like videos that makes most classic albums cultural events. In the grand scheme of pop music history (at least when it comes down to record sales), A Tribe Called Quest will go down as barely a footnote. The Queens, NY rap trio-emcees Q-Tip

Midnight Marauders - The Tribe continues the theory for a third time...

Pros: Phenomenal old-school alternative hip-hop with dope lyrics and smooth music.
Cons: Not everybody's cup of Tea
With all of the insane talk about Tribe Called Quest reuniting once again, its great to hear. After years apart and a lack of solo success by its members, its good to hear that the trio is back together. So in celebration, I will take a look at what is known by their fans to be their greatest hit album yet: Midnight Marauders. Many fans cant seem to decide as to whether Low End Theory or Midnight Marauders is the better album by the Tribe Called Quest. Everybody agrees that Low End Theory was the most critically acclaimed and groundbreaking piece of the series, but a lot of the hardcores that.

The Tribe Successfully Maraud Our Eardrums

Pros: Great lyricism, beautiful production, numerous classic songs
Cons: A song or two messes up the whole vibe of the CD
Many people consider this CD to be A Tribe Called Quest's greatest release (If not, many rank it under only The Low End Theory), but the sheer greatness of it wasn't totally appreciated back when it came out in late 1993. It came out quietly surrounded by such classic releases as Snoop Dogg's debut Doggystyle and Common Sense's Resurrection, but the musical blueprint it made was followed by many rap (and even pop) acts who derived most of their music from ATCG's serene yet forceful sound. Nevertheless, let us sit back, relax, and let the soothing, jazzical sounds of ATCG maraud our aural...

The Best Tribe Album reviewed in full
Review created: 04/06/03

Pros: Excellent beats, good rhyming and a classic album from the Tribe
Cons: This album saw the end of the "3 classics" from Tip, Phife and Ali Muhammed
I got this album a few years ago. It is a classic from the tribe, their third effort that followed on from the success of People s instinctive travels and The Low End Theory. It was the first Tribe called Quest album I bought and it left me hungry for more. Consisting of Ali Muhammed, Phife Dawg and Q-tip this 3 man group from Queens NY grew up together and first started making music together at high school. As members of the Zulu Nation they took hip-hop into a totally new dimension, their music has a strong jazz influence and the 2 MCs phife and tip complement each other very well. Released.
