I used to own the old NES, and when I had previously repurchased another one, I wanted to get the good old games for it as well. Metroid was in that list. I enjoy it alot, though it's very difficult at times with the primitive programming. Good game, get a copy if you have an NES. 'Nuff said.

The Game cartridge works like a gem in my Nintendo Entertainment System. However, it didn't stand up well in my Oester toaster system.

Just kidding.

Could you imagine?

I digress. The only complaint i have is cosmetic as the Sticker label on the game cartidge is in a peeling state. only slightly.

I enjoyed playing this classic years ago on the NES and it's still fun years later. There are so many areas to explore on Planet Zebes that it will keep gamers engaged for hours.

I remember playing this weird but addicting game 20 years ago. It was full of mystery, adventure, and assumed the player was intelligent enough to figure out many things on their own. And there were more secrets hidden throughout the game than any other title I had played before it. When I finally did get to the final face off with the mother brain it was like I was going head-to-head against a truly evil and worthy nemesis. And that's what made me decide to grab this game again for another try at this retro classic. Thumbs up from me.

Metroid is a classic must have NES game. If you have never played this game and you have a NES then you need to get it at all cost.

If you are a collecter, this the game. If you love action and exploring, this is the game. If you love good game play, this is the game. Do you have to much spare time, this is the game.

It's a perfect classic! Btw. If you buy this game and love it, be sure to check out Super Metroid for the Snes. You wont find it cheap, but it will be worth every penny.

I heard about this game both pro and con so I decided I'd give it my own acid test. I found it to be a fascinating and challenging game and I'm not sorry I bought it. Like most games of its kind, it can drive you nuts, but what's a game without challenge? I'd recommend it to anyone who likes adventure games.

it was a game iv'e been trying to find for a long time the thing that i don't like is the fact that it did not come with a case for the game it does work so that does make me very happy and i do plan on buy more from this person and stuff on ebay=)

The classic NES Metroid stands as one of the pinnacle games on any system created by Nintendo, five platforms together. As far as the gameplay goes, for the 2 people in the world who would be interested but have not played metroid, this Metroid is an action adventure. At the start you are armed with a small gun connected to your arm and you are able to roll into a small ball and maneuver through a futuristic planet. As the game progresses you armorer and weapons advance while finding secret passage ways that bring you closer to destroying the final boss: the Mother Brain. This game can be difficult to find your way through but with a few helpful guides you will have no problem. If you find Mario Brothers difficult then this game with easily be an impossible challenge. In the end your character is still the smoothest space pirate fighting babe in history, yes I did say babe.

When this came out it was like nothing seen before and like super mario bros many a kid sat and played for days in awe getting wrapped up in the story and character. If you were born after this game was made, don't bother buying it you will never appreciate it for what it was. I love the direction video games have gone but for me classics like this will never go out of style. Unlike the new game systems that come out one after the other every couple years this is when new game systems were a rare occassion and were huge jumps over the previous systems capabilities.
